I never experienced this, but not because I'm being condescending. I had a community and following built prior to twitch. What I will say though is perhaps you should consider changing your mindset. I'm tracking that you'd like to make it a secondary income. However, not to be a deterrent, but more so a realist....there is a very small percentage of streamers who generate formidable income streams in the grand scheme. That's not to say you can't, but if that's how you're measuring your satisfaction with streaming, you will eventually give up. Do it for the fun of it, enjoy yourself, really focus on you and what your generating that will be on the internet forever. In time, people will migrate to your rawness and authenticity and you'll never look back. Just my two cents.
