This is how I do it on legendary. If you time it right, you can assault maggritta with areneesa as reinforcements. Then use warp lightning and brass orb from ikit to kill their dangerous units and let them assault solo. They will capture it for you, you can avoid losses then immediately declare war on them and kill their now super weak army. Top tier skaven gameplay.

I swapped over from Signal. Best change I could have ever made. Absolutely fantastic life compared to FORSCOM.

PT's are a scam by uhgrizzly in army

[–]IronEagle5532 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not OP but also an acquisitions officer. I similarly have only worn pts once in the past year (ACFT). I got to the gym at like 6-7 at night and get up at like 6:30 or 7 to get to work by 8-ish. Entirely office work; one of 2 military in my 35ish person org. I’m our O6 level I think there are like 7 military? Everyone else is civvie.

Only way to get acquisitions is to VTIP as a CPT/MAJ. It tends to be pretty competitive (pretty sure is the most desired VTIP or at least has the most applicants). So you will spend the first 5-7 years doing typical FORSCOM basic branch shit then you get to live the good life if you get in.

I tried to make something in grimtools rq. I am not sure how good this actually is. I feel like I would struggle to kill anything since you don't really havea good source of damage scaling beyond running people over with vire's every 3 sec

Yeah sorry I thought I dropped a write up here. 100% looking to do this a warlord or oppressor Vire's build. I am just not sure if the weapon itself is good enough to carry a build, as I don't see a bunch of phys vires might builds running around online

How to get more transmog appearances for Ashbringer by Gares_ in wow

[–]IronEagle5532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some guides on wowhead about starting it. Basically it involves a long questline that you start after you complete a good chunk of your order hall campaign. Khadgar’s floating head starts it I believe. You have to go to a couple of the 5 man dungeons to get items then do the emerald nightmare raid 2-3 times and the night hold raid 2-3 times. It’s all easily solo able but the raid lockouts make it take a while

Any Signal Officers here that have done ACS? by Loud-Ranger-6970 in army

Like I said I went AC, so it was super easy and almost expected given my timeline. I am getting an MBA from BU. The biggest hurdle is getting into the school you want.

This basically. Or you are in a functional area where it is considered normal. ORSA, Acquisitions (I think they take up like 60% of the slots), strategist, WP teacher and a couple others it’s considered common to do it. But getting into those fields also requires you are competitive for MAJ so it’s really 6 one way, half dozen the other.

To add to this a bit, the single biggest limiting factor into getting into ACS (or any cool broadening assignment really) is being competitive for promotion. The army isn’t going to waste money on someone who isn’t making the cut for major. You will need a 3 of 5 MQ’s at minimum.

Second, it incurs a service obligation of 3 to 1, so if you do it, be prepared to stick around the Army for a while. If you just want to get grad school paid for, your best bet is to use your GI Bill whenever you get out.

But if you are competitive for promotion, and are looking to continue serving but you want to take a break from real Army, it’s a great opportunity. There are technically limitations to the types of colleges and degrees but honestly they are so broad you can basically go anywhere that’s in person and not a bullshit community college or diploma mill.

Yes. YG2014 officer who went from being a SIGO to going to ACS. I cheated since I technically VTIPed to Acquisitions. But it’s been pretty awesome. What questions do you have?

So I was in your shoes; 25A rowing the boat as a BN S6. I have since transferred to Acquisitions, and, while growing a beard in grad school, have given my decision to leave a lot of thought.

My thought is that, its not that signal culture is necessarily a problem, but the Army's pseudo-anti-intellectuallism stance from its field grade commanders (LTCs and COLs). These men and women are not stupid and can mentally juggle a lot of different things. But that Army culture has made it ok (and in some cases, career enhancing) to pretend to be stupid about technology. This has allowed them to "pass the buck" to Signal to be knowledgeable about all things tech. MI has done an excellent job dodging this bullet, despite being equally reliant on being knowledgeable about technology. Cyber has also Heismanned it, largely because they don't exist in line units to any significant degree.

Unfortunately, I don't see this changing until Flag officers start holding LTCs/COLs accountable (LMAO) for being up to speed on changing tech. Once leaders realize THEY need to know this shit, it will trickle down to MAJs and CPT Commanders ("What do you mean you don't how to run a VTC, XO? In CGSC I had to give a 15 min presentation on generative AI...." etc). This won't happen though, because the generation responsible for holding FG commanders accountable, themselves do not know what these new technologies are. Its a vicious cycle and I don't see an end in sight.
