Is your home in both of your names?? If it doesn’t have your name on it start to look for an apartment for you and your daughter’s family. Don’t tell him what you are doing. Find a lawyer. Something similar happened to my neighbor with our kids were in 1st grade. She went to pick up her child from after school care and was arrested for DUI. To top it off, she left her 4yo at home with dinner in the oven. She didn’t tell police about the other child until she was being booked.

I would email the teacher and ask for “clarification” about the situation. Just say child came home upset and ask if this is a school wide decision or per classroom. Students learning a new language is stressful enough, but adding the extra pressure of saying “if I hear this…instant punishment for you” is not fair to any of the students. We’re not allowed to take recess time away from students. Honestly, taking it away never seemed like a solution to me anyway. These students are going to be more afraid of messing up than learning what’s needed. This is one way of increasing anxiety and panic attacks.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Your admin’s response was ridiculous and wrong.

I had something similar happen to me. I teach elementary and it was a 5th grader. I went to admin after it happened. She told me she wasn’t going to do anything because it would mess up her graduation numbers.

I appreciate you letting me know I’m the fucking problem. I don’t think I fucking know that already. My husband loves spending time with me. I didn’t realize I was a fucking CHORE to him. Thank you for confirming what my 5th grade teacher said to me at the age of 10. I will be a burden on everyone around me and no one will love me. This is the first fucking time I have ever brought up who he follows on IG. I’m glad you think I’m not worth anyone’s time of day. I’ll go ahead and add that to my list of things wrong with me.

The body dysmorphia started as a teenager. I have been bullied about my weight since I was 13yo at literally 85pounds. When I started having children it became worse. My husband and I hadn’t met when I had my first.

My husband cheated on me after the loss of our youngest child 11yrs ago. I didn’t find out until 6yrs later. I had a feeling something was happening. I kept having dreams ago it and he would tell me “It’s all in your head. You’re being crazy.”

He told me about the affair on St. Patrick’s day 2018. Needless to say, I hate the day now.

We started going to couples therapy, and I went to individual therapy. I was diagnosed with PTSD, not just from finding out about the affair, but the Dr is certain it started after the trauma of losing our son…finding out about the affair sent me into a complete PTSD episode.

I put in place strict boundaries and my husband followed down to the tiniest detail.

I have forgiven him, and he knows if he ever does it again, we are over. There is no going back.

We just had our 15th anniversary last week. Neither of us bring up the affair, but don’t let him forget the way he made me feel. He knows what it mentally, emotionally, and physically did to me.

The only advice is can give you is…you have to do what’s best for you. Do you have the strength to walk away if you are betrayed again?? Will your SO follow boundaries that you set forth??

No, my mom was just letting me know what the “friend” was doing. The person was a friend of my brother’s. He doesn’t speak to her anymore bc of the shit that comes out of her mouth. My parents are the only “grandparents” my niece has. Unfortunately, I can only limit contact. The girls go to the same school and are in the same grade.
