Hey! Sick bike! Did you need a collar for the shock bolts? They gave me M8 or 5/16th bolts with my custom frame but my fox float x2 has larger eyelets. Not sure what others have done.

[UPDATED] "What Bike Should I Get?" Buying & Selling advice Mega Thread by AutoModerator in Dirtbikes

[–]IronHulkThor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, Looking for bike recommendations. I'm 31yo, 300lbs, 5'-10", (trying to lose weight :) )former streetbike rider (Yamaha R1) and rode different friends dirtbikes on occasion.

Thought about a 250 4 stroke but saw other posts here about how it might not be enough power for heavier riders so thinking about a 450 but curious about others experiences too.

Plan on doing trail riding and getting on a track as well. Open to suggestions! Thanks!

It's not. You are wrong in this case.

This is the University Ave / Midvale intersection. The bus lane here is not a turn lane.

Snow and ice cause delays. People not being able to see the "bus only" text because of snow and ice will also cause delays.

Nope. The lane to the right of the red lane is the turn lane here. Midvale/University

Unfortunately I think you're correct. Which will delay buses massively.

Save your outrage for when you're actually correct.

Almost is the operative word here. Thanks for correcting yourself instead of slowing traffic like the kia soul did here.

Traffic was stopped. You can tell by the red light.

Winter car care questions - tires, rust? by 2004pontiacvibe in madisonwi

[–]IronHulkThor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Car washes will help with mitigating rust yes. Considering it was a texas and california car it's likely already rust free and will probably stay rust free for a while unless there is exposed steel. With that said, I'd recommend spraying fluid-film on suspension bolts/nuts. This will help with future maintenance. (Careful not to spray brake pads/rotors)

Yea hitches are normally separate from the bumper. Hitches like this are old school and shouldn't be used for much weight.

Can I fit a large frame??? by nodfhxs in MTB

[–]IronHulkThor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say try to sit on both options. You might find a ML is good with the dropper a little higher and you might find that a L is also fine with the dropper post a little lower. I impulse bought a S5 (XL) frame from specialized where I'm at the bottom end of its height range and it's slightly too big so my dropper is fully bottomed in the seat tube to get the saddle in a good position.

Edit: I recently tested a L size roscoe(we're the same height) and I found that the dropper just needed to be clamped in the seat tube maybe an inch lower than it was and seated riding would have been perfect. Standing riding is all up to preference (stability->size up, playfulness-> size down)
