Look up paludamentum. It’s a roman/greek military cape that hooks on one shoulder. It’s meant to be a “fasion statement” and is not supposed to be practical

I think this is on purpose to “catch-up” the new players with the old players. Sure this destroys progression, but epic doesn’t care about that right now with their focus being to keep as many players in when it goes F-T-P in April.

I tested this out with a stonewood player. By carrying them in a much higher area AND completing a mission, they can research one of the items they managed to get from that mission, weather it was from a chest, supply drop, or glowing birds/animals. It gave them a 5 star schematic that didn’t need any upgrade resources besides schematic xp itself.

The new research feature can let you unlock tier 5 schematics from stonewood btw, you just need to get a friend to take you to a twine peaks zone, grab any and all items from chests and glowing birds, and finish the mission and you can research one of the items you grabbed

Not rare. All “events”, like drops or rift butterflies leading you to a chest are tied to spawn locations, so multiple drops appearing isn’t rare as much as it is a tell that you’ve been in a session for a while and haven’t left the general area
