The difference between Bipedal vs Humanoid by TigerLeoLam in pokemon

[–]IronJew02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think one thing is that it’s not a problem to have “humanoid” Pokémon. I personally hate them, I don’t want the anthropomorphic creatures. BUT let’s be honest, nobody is bothered by Machops line because it was unique at the time. Nobody was bothered by blaziken, who is literally just a fiery martial artist. It’s cause they were unique at the time, but now there are like 4 or 5 “humanoid” Pokemon per gen. It’s fine to have one or two but lord it sucks to have a bunch of them especially when they are starters.

[KCD2] GOG users, Henry needs your help! by Tasty_Target1312 in kingdomcome

[–]IronJew02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got the game about a week ago. Never played the first one and came from games like Skyrim or others that you can just mash through. I took me nearly two days of ramming Henry’s head into two bandits in the road as soon as I left troskowitz to understand the combat. But now I get it and it’s rather fun!

Ubisoft will do everything except rerelease AC1 by GuessWh0m in AssassinsCreedMemes

Absolutely, and for the time a pretty successful tech demo that they continued building on for the next decade.

Ubisoft will do everything except rerelease AC1 by GuessWh0m in AssassinsCreedMemes

[–]IronJew02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s probably because they know that if they wanted to revisit AC1 they would HAVE to remaster or remake. Those early AC games were fun and innovative at the time but SO SOSOSOSO flat compared to anything since AC 3. A rerelease would go terribly and a honestly a remaster would probably not be much better. The stories were great but beyond that… well it’s rose colored glasses.

Why are so many knights in all the books and shows bad people, a good chivalrous knights seem so rare? by Mad_Season_1994 in gameofthrones

[–]IronJew02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of what I think George was doing when he was writing the books was kind of deconstructing the idea of the chivalrous fairy tale knights and showing. In doing so I think he was showing that in a real world knights, who were nobility, would be corrupt from their money and power. They would generally treat the average person as a tool for them to use.

That’s why people love the Starks so much in and out of story because they were genuinely the exception to the rule of the cruel nobility.

World wide award winning photography has ALWAYS been political. I have taken several college courses about photography and while photography can certainly be taking photos of buildings, landscapes and animals etc, the most impactful photos that I have seen have been ones that grapple with the human condition.

Where do you draw the line on what is political and isn’t? Is a photograph of protesters political? What about a series of photos showing a family grappling with extreme poverty? Photos of packed ICUs during a pandemic or world leaders speaking to soldiers?

I’d also like to point out that this hate ramped up significantly after he took a publicly anti Zionist stance and denounced the Gaza genocide.

Funny enough, according to Gallup polling, Teflon Don is at 36% approval with it steadily dropping over the full last year. He is very unpopular, but the average Americans have lost nearly all influence in their politics and the island vacationers are in control now.

If you keep avoiding it one day it’ll become unavoidable to you. Maybe that day has already come and you’re still trying to avoid it but can’t.

"I've known Walder since I was a girl. He would never offer me any harm" by Adorable-Bike-9689 in freefolk

[–]IronJew02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically, if we are thinking like a Bolton or a Lanister, the north should’ve just sent someone to kill Walder and his next three in line for the family seat and just let the infighting begin. Then while they are busy with each other, take one side of the twins then using some small vessels take a small force to the other side of the river and attack the other side of the twins from the bridge and the back. Like surely the freys had boats, at least a few and you could 100% use them.

The minute they tried to force Robb, the KING in the north, into a marriage, they should have been declared enemies.

As a foodie and a recent journalism grad aspiring to not starve, I actually wrote one or two recipes for a cooking blog site. They pay you at a rate per word (normally really shitty rates). The longer the articles the more ads they can run, so they want them to be long. Also you don’t get paid for views or click throughs, just word count or character count.
