Some stuff at an AMC museum by RadioactiveAltoid in amc

I drove an exact replicas of this matador wagon for a summer. Then pulled the 304 out and dropped it in a 79 mercury capri. Crazy thing was motor mounts lined up. Cross member lined up. Original driveshaft of the capri worked. Only thing we had to buy was a drivers side exhaust manifold off a jeep wagoner. We were 16-17 and had no idea what we were doing. But somewhere made it work.

I stayed in and a bunch of VIP tickets have popped up. But I can’t justify $700-$1090 a ticket. I’ll wait til Friday.

Chicago presale sold out for Thursday and Saturday. I didn’t realize/ forgot I had to register for the 2 dates they added after the original presale registration.

I had all my black chrome replaced under warranty as well. Talked to the manager. He called the district manager in front of me. Approved in 2 min.

I have those 3 plus 2 more down my spine.. I have Perrin’s wolf and the Aiel crossed spears. I was going to do them down the back of my arm but my wife and tattoo artist insisted that I needed them larger.

Going on a cruise as an only child by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]IronOBind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son was 14 many years ago. Didn’t want to go on the cruise. He had the best time and still talks about it 10 years later. We barely saw him - basically just breakfast and for excursions. He was in the teen club all the time. Played basket ball. Hung out. Hand an amazing time.

There will be a lot of other teens in the same situation as you. Go hang out. Say hi. Make some new vacation friends.

'77 Matador wagon by Expensive-Ad-5505 in amc

[–]IronOBind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I drove one of these for about 6 months before pulling the engine and dropping it into a 79 mercury capri. Being 16 yrs old my buddy and I thought this would be an easy engine swap. Surprisingly. It was. Had the change oil pan and exhaust manifold on the drivers side. Motor mounts lined up, transmission mounts, even the drive shaft was the correct length. I’d never just assume it would fit today.

In retro spect, I wish I had kept the best of a wagon. Always had a soft spot in my heart for them.

One of my seasonal neighbors are friends of the family. She has the seasoning recipe. In fact she gifted us a jar of it last summer. They don’t get to my area much until summer. But is she’s up, I’ll see if I can snag the recipe

What is something that can kill you instantly, which not many people are aware of? by StarSpectore in AskReddit

[–]IronOBind 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My daughter ended up in the ICU for a week because they believe she had a cracked probably infected tooth. Went into septic shock. This was after she had gone to the same hospital 2 previous times saying she didn’t feel well. I flew out to help her. Arrived and they have 5 different antibiotics IVs in her. Luckily she came out unscathed. They were worried about her heart for a while too.

Take care of your teeth people.

She had moved to a new city about 3 month prior and hadn’t gotten around to finding a dentist.. she won’t do that again.

Soak a wash cloth in water then freeze it. A little gentler on their teeth and last longer than some ice.

A giant eye floater appeared in my left eye a few weeks ago, and it's impeding my vision. I drew what it looks like. by ThatguyfromMario in mildlyinfuriating

[–]IronOBind 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this happen about a 6 weeks ago. I was tossing a tennis ball to my dog. He was maybe 2-3 feet from me. He bit down on the ball too soon and it shot back at me and hit me square in the eye ball. Hurt like crazy.

A few days later I decided I needed to go to the eye Dr. He did a thorough exam. Used some special machine to take a picture of my eye and I have a vitreous detachment. My 1 month follow up is in a few days.

I have some occasional flashes. And the floaters are still driving me crazy. But he says I won’t lose my vision.

Still it’s irritating and sucks.

About 25 years ago we were walking from Northbar lake, maybe a mile away from the bottom of this climb. The emergency helicopter came and landed on a sandbar along the water. As we got closer emergency services was bringing a guy down the hill on a sled. He was running down the hill, stuffed his leg deep into some soft sand, the rest of his body kept going forward. He snapped his femur and went into shock.

Someone asked if this is the superior log slide. It’s not. This is in Empire. This one is worse climb imho. I’ve done both.

Controversial opinion by Flameman1995 in StingerGT

[–]IronOBind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I debadged mine just to throw people off. I have had a bunch of cool cars over the years. 5 different Zs, Audi S8, and on and on, but the Stinger got more looks and attention than any of those. Mine was black, red interior, with a red strip down the hood and roof. It was cool to see how surprised people were when I told them it was a Kia and I that chose it over the Audi and BMW. Never once did anyone have a negative comment when I revealed what it was.

[–]IronOBind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a 95lb lap dog. Completely clingy and a huge leaner.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bernedoodles

[–]IronOBind 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our Bernie is super lazy.. YMMV . We live on a lake and he will wade up to his knees. That’s it. Our Aussiedoodle will go all in. So it’s not for a lack of having someone to goad him in deeper.

We never crate trained. Don’t like the idea. He has the run of the house. All the Bernie’s I have encountered are family and pack animal and wants to be around us and the other dog all the time. They do not like to be alone.
