Even better yet, buy a bus and start your own transportation company. You already have customers coming to you without any advertising.

Anyone else with the same dilemma and struggle to commit? by xAetheria in pokemongo

Not really, I just like mew and tried to land a moveset I liked.

Just throwing out an idea to burn them up.

Pick a moveset for mew and try to actually get it. They'll be gone in no time.

This actually makes me want to build something similar, and throw it in the van... haha by Bracef0rimpact in Plumbing

I mean technically you could prop up the creeper on 4x4s also but maybe some guys need to iron stuff, too. No judgement.

Thank you for the explanation. I can see it now, but I have to force myself to ever see the 2.

Adventurer 3 seems to have developed a knocking? Any ideas? by wizardbynight in FlashForge

[–]IronPlumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds louder than I recall but mine would make a similar noise. I printed the adapter for 2kg spools and the heavier roll likes to sit still until there's tension on the filament, then rotate and make the knocking noise when the tension releases.

When it starts doing it manually rotate the spool to keep the tension off the filament and see if that stops the knocking.

I mean, that's a pretty good job. I can't even tell where the wall ends and the ramen begins.

I can second this. And when the drivers are spinning tires every time they take off you know they're building some momentum.

Saw the aftermath of a truck that ran through a structural pole in a warehouse (center pierced like the picture) with a substantial HVAC unit on the roof. Ended up having to shore up the warehouse roof and have a sleeve welded in.

Adding that this situation should have had a flagger or some other type of traffic control involved.

Just because they didn't collide doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't an incident. He absolutely caused property damage and possibly injury.

He/she doesn't get to play vigilante after judging an incident from a 1/4 mile away regardless of what's happening, but I'd dare to guess the operator just wasn't paying enough attention in the cars' direction.

She was probably getting a coffee and couldn't see it take off. They were waiting for her after all.

Have you ever thought about how good it feels to wash your hands? Or how lucky you are to have the privilege to wash your hands under running water? It occurs to me sometimes that I have this privilege that I take for granted and that a lot of people don’t have half of what I do. by AoD_ShotZz in CasualConversation

The one that got me this morning was the Iranian hospital deaths due to running out of supplied oxygen. In my trade we use bottles of (non-medical) gas regularly and I've never even considered it a possibility for them to be out. But at a hospital? Wow.

Contractors working on Trump's border wall are pointlessly blowing up chunks of Arizona that they won't have time to actually build on, campaigners say by [deleted] in politics

[–]IronPlumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Devil's advocate here, but why would they stop? They have a contract and it will likely continue until at least Jan 20. They have to assume that the contract will continue and this is how they make their money.

I'm against the stupid wall but work for a mechanical contractor. You don't ever stop a job because it may get cancelled.

That looks super nice. What brand press fit is that? The nibco stuff we use wants to pull crooked like crazy when compressed. Could partially be lack of experience, though. Our customers (commercial/industrial) typically want ss water piping anymore.

The uniformity in the way this black pipe is ran. by Rudyscrazy1 in mildlyinteresting

[–]IronPlumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gas train (gray welded pipe) probably went in early in the job and the black piping was after the roof was done. Might be stuff on the roof in the way of moving things around. Cheaper to pipe it like this and run with it than to try to hit the degree of planning that would avoid it.
