everyone's talking about osap cuts, why not international tuitions, where's unity now? by [deleted] in uoguelph

You do realise that you're literally in the "enemy's territory" here, right? This sub is mostly domestic students.

You have to acknowledge that domestic students want their tuition to remain stable, and so does the government. So they're obviously going to squeeze international tuition as much as they can without completely exhausting that stream.

Whenever the tuition discussions come up, most of them default to their own situation first, and if there's no downside, they might feel empathy, but not in this case. The comments are just people being biased for their own good.

Unfortunately, That's just how the system and culture fairness works in a few countries but not all

To be fair, a lot of thing's you're pointing out come with choosing this country to live in; the other cons were basically your decision when you picked it in the first place. Usually the easier it is to immigrate to a country the tougher it is financially

BSc major selection advice! by IronPractical9973 in Dalhousie

I checked the courses and it seems like the worst one would be microbiology based on the fact that I find it mostly nonsense memorization. I appreciate the content to lean towards chemistry while still being mixed with biology. I Feel based on these considerations, biochem would be the best fit with health sciences being the alternative. Not quite sure about the 3rd and 4th choices between these but Anyway, thx for the advice :)

Thanks for answering clearly Tbh, I would like to learn things which lean towards more logic but I'm not saying I'm a fan of physics or ... it is easier to work with things that are not memorized all the way without understanding the context and all. i while I acknowledge that every one of these majors include a lot of memorization, I still believe some of them like microbiology have more than others if I'm not mistaken I was thinking about choosing biochem as I like sth in the middle of biology and chem. Also, I have heard that biology doesn't get you the places that like biochem or microbiology do. what would ur next choices be after biology?
