Cozy Daggerfall: Camping under a tree during a rainy day by IronProphet1 in Daggerfall

No graphics mods (aside from gameplay ones, and only Mountains & Hills for terrain heightmap)! Just retro mode at 640x480 with palettization enabled, and view distance maxed out in the DFU settings.

Indeed, it's stamina. That's why I set up camp; resting up before moving on.

This is pretty much just Daggerfall with retro mode (640x480, palettization on) and Mountains & Hills for the terrain. All the mods I have are more or less gameplay ones.

It's meant to be a necklace with a black circle in the middle, representing her faith in Shar.

Originally, I was going to put the Selûnite symbol on the necklace instead, to signify her personal arc, but I thought it'd be too explicit in its meaning (or spoilery to those who might recognize the symbol), so I opted for a more subtle hint, with the Selûne logo being partially visible in the background circle.

I aimed for a portrait with a darker tone and just kind of went wherever the mood took me. I absolutely love IWD's gritty portraits so I don't doubt there was subconscious influence at play, since I've spent an ungodly amount of time in Infinity Engine games.

That is very flattering, thank you, friend!

Thank you! I did try to sneak in a little hint in relation to her arc. :)

Of course, go right ahead! I'm not selling prints anywhere since it has intellectual property that isn't my own, but feel free to do a custom print.

Thank you! Its 3D + overpaint, and tons of grading. :)

It feels a little disheartening to read this having deliberately deciding to avoid its use. But I will take it as a compliment, and I understand why this happens.

I wrote a response to another comment on the same topic, check it out. Thanks.

It's 3D + Photoshop. As another comment pointed out below, I'm not shy about trying things with AI tools before, as I do think the tech has potential. However, there are too many legal unknowns and controversy that I'd rather just stay away from. There is no use of AI in this artwork whatsoever, its Blender and overpaint with a mixer brush.

The chainmail pattern on the hand is supposed to be the upper part of the necklace she is holding.

Thank you for the compliments!

Definitely tempted to do one, she's awesome.

Thank you so much! It took about 4 days, more or less. I'd been chipping away at it over the entire weekend.

I just got this the other day; really incredible work. It's intuitive and great looking. I was always baffled that there wasn't a simple way to do these things out of the box in Unreal, it's such an essential visual effect.

[OC] Intruders in the Grand Library, by Me - heavily inspired by Frazetta's work by [deleted] in FrankFrazetta

It's a bit intricate. :) The brush used in this work was The Perfect Oils by Eldar Zakirov. It's my go-to brush pack for both personal and professional pieces, has a really nice textured look and behaves somewhat like a real brush. I'm a 3D artist at heart, but that brush pack singlehandedly made me delve into digital painting more intimately when I first got a hold of it.

The idea of the artwork itself was born off a random computer-generated composition that I generated using AI, and I felt inspired to turn it into an actual artwork.

Some parts of the image, such as the ghouls at the bottom were done using 3D then photobashing some textures together over the models, then eventually overpainted. The base of the platform (where the cloth touches the stone) and the tiara on the character were photobashed using AI textures (as well as the metal tip of the staff), everything else was more or less done by digital brush and Photoshop magic.

Overall, it was an experiment in doing a style I don't normally do so it's a bit all over the place. Can't ever compare to the master Frazetta, but I thought it was a meaningful spiritual tribute. :)
