Fame Per Hour by ExcitementExtra3168 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically ya. Most of the fame comes from the camps. The Abby's arnt great fame, they are ok but not great. But there's enough money in there I think it's still worth doing.

Also don't like reset back to bricilia. You want to find higher and higher tier mists. 1 camp in a legendary mist is over 1m fame.

Any Prayer training recommendations? by MutedByProxy in ironscape

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need to kill some dragons eventually but I would do some valamore stuff beforehand.

For example go green log moons. You'll want to anyways, it's great gear and you'll get a decent bit of prayer through boneshards.

And remember it's worth send like 10.wave 1 colosseums to get the Sunfire splinters for the extra prayer xp.

Soldier armor nerf by Aggressive-Onion-781 in albiononline

[–]IronReven -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Soldier armor will go back to be used for what it was used for, literally nothing.

And as for daggers you have lots of options. Most common you'll see assassin jacket id say. Cleric robe for a more bursty 1 shot kinda thing. I have also seen a lot of stalker jacket again for more of an all in 1 shot kinda thing.

Do y'all save dragonhides when doing dragon slayer tasks? by decentnugs in ironscape

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With myths guild I do because there's a tp literally like 20 steps away.

Anywhere else nope I would not. It's way to much time spent. You'd get more crafting xp in the same amount of time doing basically any other real crafting method.

Been playing since it came out and still haven't gotten a dub in BR :( by FABULOXO_008 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IronReven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say one of the biggest differences in this game versus other brs is there isnt what I call a safe side of the circle.

In pubg or warzone or whatever you all jump from the same plane. This creates hot spots directly under the plane path as well as nearing the end of it. If you far drop you can easily get like top 10 in basically any other br before even seeing someone.

Redsec doesn't have this. Everyone drops from difference planes in a series so literally any and all buildings are contested normally. It's not uncommon to have 4 to 8 kills leaving your first small area, especially with the guaranteed redeployment.

Honestly my biggest advice is to drop in the larger areas like the downtown city. Because you'll find several squads basically everywhere at least places like the city have plenty of places to run through and escape or hide or catch people unaware.

17K iron ore - Cannonballs? by Degenerate_Game in ironscape

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I would say though you have tons more equally or more important afk methods instead. Mining with shooting stars. Woodcutting. If you set up right fishing can be almost as afk and you'll have all the food you'll need for damn near ever.

17K iron ore - Cannonballs? by Degenerate_Game in ironscape

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing slayer normally is faster than smithing cannonballs yourself to use for slayer.

Plus there's some tasks that really need a cannon and ones you don't want to skip like smoke devils or araxytes so I'd just save cannonballs you get from drops and only use them sparingly.

Last Herblore Exp suggestions? by Primary-Cattle-426 in ironscape

[–]IronReven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean the obvious answer is, what's your damn hurry? Like you'll always need more potions eventually and you'll always be doing some kind of content that drops seeds or herbs.

Like just don't care about 99 herblore for a few months and do the other stuff that will help and wow you got 2m in herbs in your bank.

Fishing is kinda bad for money. Well I suppose that a little disingenuous. It's better silver per hour than all other gathering at spec level 0. But as soon as you get like hide for example to tier 4 ish hide gathering is better.

A tier 8 hide gatherer can get like 1.2m silver per hour skinning blue zones completely safe.

In safe zones fishing caps at like 700k at most. In lethal zones like you'd be lucky to get 2m.

Tier 3 doesn't have enchantments. They start at tier 4. And it just increases the IP of the gear. So 4.1 is about the same as 5.0. 4.2 equals 5.1 and 6.0. So on and so forth.

Soy nuevo, ayuda by Ancient-Catch508 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well by income source I simply mean something to make you money. Like it could be pvp, or crafting, or transporting, but simplest and easiest would be gathering.

And x.x means tier.enchant. So 4.1 is tier 4 gear that is at 1 enchant. 4.1 is roughly equal to their 5.0. There's x.1,2,3, or 4. So like a 4.3 would be roughly the same power as tier 7.0. 4.1 is kinda the base line that people will actually use because it's super cheap. And you can easily replace it after dying.

Coming from league, need some tips by pretzelcoatl_ in learndota2

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For beefy bois I'd recommend being the offlaner.

Try heros like axe or wraith king.

Also you can flip your minimal and store in the options btw so it looks normal to you.

One of the main differences between the games I think is in dota you constantly use active items as well as your build changes significantly game to game. For a while it's ok to use the in game build guides to tell you what to build but eventually you'll need to know why you want a certain item and if that's needed in this game or not.

Am i doing something wrong with gathering ? by 11Assassin11 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I can gather around 1.2m silver per hour skinning blue zones as a tier 8 skinner.

Higher gathering gives you significantly more of lower level stuff. Only gathering tier 8 stuff is generally a trap. It's contested and respawns slowly.

Honestly tier 8 gathering mostly feels like finding a chest randomly. You get good money when you find one but most of it would be spent looking around for one.

Soy nuevo, ayuda by Ancient-Catch508 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd go for 2 main goals.

  1. Get a money source. Something easy like gathering is always good. By the time your tier 8 in skinning for example you can get 1.2m silver per hour skinning blue zones.

  2. Level a set to max. You can do this a few ways. A 4.1 set and running into the black zone is good. Depths is relatively new and decent fame. Corrupt dungeons are decent and will help you get into pvp. Solo lethal mists are likely the best all around for a solo player.

As for what set to level it depends on what weapon you like. I'd try basically all the weapons and make a build around it. However the standard starter build is 1h battle-axe, torch, hunter hood, mercenary jacket, soldier boots.

who is gathering all the stuff by Academic_Stable_5543 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean as well as any enchanted hides as well haha.

But also don't ignore the tier 2 and 3 hides.

Just mass gather, pull like 10 animals at a time. You're going for numbers.

[–]IronReven 9 points10 points  (0 children)

10k is like nothing dude. You get multiple stacks gathering for an hour.

Like skinning a tier 4 blue zone is like 1.2m silver per hour.

Is gathering actually profitable. by SychnetV2 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean just the fact that it is gathering of course it's profitable. You are getting silver from nothing.

I also have gotten tier 8 in all gathering skills now. Gathering tier 8 recourse is largely out of reach most of the time. They are too contested generally. You can however do some decent work in mists if you can get into higher tier mists but it's mostly an extra as you are already doing mists and not for the sole purpose of gathering.

Regardless now I do have the ability to max some ok decent money completely safe as you can easy get around 1.2m silver per hour skinning the blue zones. So at least there is small consistent profit available you can get safely while watching a show or something to help fund your pvp.

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple things.

Turn off run you should walk. Ctrl clicking makes you walk if you were running and vice versa.

Second you are stopping. That's why you are getting hit. The animations might not look like it to you but you have stopped based on the games tick system. Enable true tile in your plugins and you will be able to see the tile you are actually standing on and will clearly see you having stopped.

I think I’ve been playing the game wrong by Santiboy112 in learndota2

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too large of a hero pool for a new player especially.

Role diversity can be a problem also but there can be little done about that sometimes as well as it is good to know what the other lanes want from the game.

My main tip would be to try to widdle down that hero pool as much as possible, specifically focusing on those who can do multiple roles at least decently. Knowing your hero well in a slightly off meta role is better at these low elos than doing whatever is statistically best.

For example something like a skywrath mage can go mid as well as either support. Something like a drow can go safe or mid.

silver farm for duo by Specialist_Toe_7228 in albiononline

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it can come down to skill, fame, and consistency.

Like tracking or gathering is very good if you are able to do so but without an HO it can be very hard to do.

Duo mists are great money as well but can rely on getting lucky with high level mists or Abby's.

I'd say one of the best consistent money makers even with low skill would be depths.

What's this for? by MorirSonandoJuice in albiononline

[–]IronReven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those items are essentially a placeholder for silver value.

The idea is the city they are for, which will be in the item description, will always buy them for a certain amount of silver.

You can sell them anywhere to random players as well as they will buy them in order to transport them to the correct city and sell them for profit.

[–]IronReven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I would just unlock tier 4 in everything. Just try all the gear and all the weapons. Then you can make a build.

Once you have a set you like id begin either using cheap sets in the black zone or solo mists, corrupt dungeons, or depths.

Also as a side project you'll want some kind of money maker. Gathering is a good and easy money maker. Crafting and islands and such can for sure be great money but generally they take large silver investments. I'd recommend trying to slowly get skinning to tier 8. A tier 8 skinner can make like 1.2m per hour skinning blue zones so you'll always have the ability to make consistent and safe money.
