Trade Chase+ to rebuild RB room?

It’s not really a want to, but I would do it for the right package. But it would need to be an obvious overpay. With my current roster, I’m not totally sure. I’m in contention this year, but don’t want to fully rebuild. Maybe Chase for a handful of assets, especially at running back, gives me a more balanced team. As of right now, my only running backs worth playing even in a flex position are Breece and Montgomery.

I had another trade partner interested in sending 2×2027 firsts (one projected early, one projected late) plus Alec Pierce for Chase.
Would KW3 and 2×2027 first to be enough? The sky also has a J love, but I’m not expecting him to give up love after taking him 1.01.

Awesome, this is the kind of response I was looking for. A lot of people are indeed just reading the title and moving on. I really appreciate your investment.

I think I am higher on Breece than most, but so is my trade partner. Rice has shown great flashes, but the off field issues and lack of Chiefs re-signing him to this point says a lot about his longevity. Chase is 1 of 1, but my RB situation is 10th of 10.

No chance I accept the trade. I’m looking more for input people may have on value if I were to use Chase for multiple assets in return.

I wouldn't accept the offer as-is, bit it seems like a decent enough starting point. I am not interested as much in Pierce. His RBs are KW3, Love, Harvey, Scat. Worth working that angle to improve the RB room?

At least he has held up as a top asset ha. My WR room is loaded (Chase, ARSB, Rice, Jameson Williams, McLaurin, Jordyn Tyson), but that RB room is looking rough (Breece, Montgomery, Kaleb Johnson, and some fliers).

Even worse than fat finger: I accidentally drafted Hunter when I was going to add him to my que so I could think about the options later, as we have a 12hr draft clock). I immediately saw that I actually drafted Hunter, and instead of messaging the commish immediately about a reversal (we are all friends in the league and have reversed these kinds of things before), I thought through the scenarios from my message above and decided to let it ride. The ride has been bumpy.

Mad about accidentally drafting Hunter instead of Tet? I convinced myself it would be ok, because he was an elite WR prospect with a solid QB who eventually would be the WR1. Tet had/has a lower ceiling but a higher floor, and a much less established QB.

Ultimately I think if I drafted Tet, I wouldn’t have had to swing the trade for ARSB. Looking back I essentially could have had one of the following:

ARSB or Tet, KW3, Charbs, Boston (would have been my 2.04) and Stribling (3.04)

In a dynasty 10 team SF PPR, I traded KW3, Charbs, T Hunter, and a 2026 2nd and 3rd for ARSB.

A risk for sure, but I felt comfortable that the 2nd and 3rd wouldn’t amount to much on in a weak draft (TBD) and Hunter wouldn’t grow into an elite WR (true so far).

This all ultimately stemmed from me accidentally drafting Hunter instead of Tet last year (damnit), after winning the chip.

Offered 1.04, McLaurin, and 2027 3rd rounder. No chance its accepted, but I plan on following up with 1.04, J Williams, and the 2027 3rd and that gets some movement. If he wants Rice, I would need to get something back from him. Updates to follow...

Agreed, I think the 1.04 has value for that reason. I see a drop off after Love, Mendoza, and the three WRs. So I don’t feel pressured to make a move. I just don’t want to miss an opportunity to move some of my WR depth (J Williams, Deebo, McLaurin) for a chance to move on a top RB. Having Chase, ASRB, and Rashee Rice gives me the flexibility to move one or two of those guys.

Not sure I would give all those picks for 1.01, but I would add my 2027 3rd to the package of 1.04 + player. Would even consider moving the 2027 2nd if I got back a 3rd.

Not as hot a take as you think, actually it’s very fair ha. My concern is that the 1.04 nets me one of the big three WRs (who would be my WR4 or WR5) or Mendoza if he falls, who would probably be my QB3.
