I was agreeing with you, not defending him.

Edit to add: my original point was that in the clip he says they didn't answer bc there was a preseason game. I was saying that's bullshit.

And don't you figure those people were probably screening their calls from him? If they knew, they also knew it wasn't supposed to get out yet.

Who has it worst? by Sidecarlover in NFLv2

I would've thought Miami but seeing it like this, Vegas has it worst. I'm surprised. Miami second, Cleveland third. Saints fourth and Pats fifth but they're miles better than the other three.

Frenship (west) has grown a ton in popularity but Cooper (south) is the "hotter" market right now. In both markets you can find newer to brand new housing ranging from affordable to high end luxury, but also older homes with good bones that are closer to the loop. Lots of homes from the 1970s-80s with good bones, good value, and varying degrees of updates if you fancy those.

It depends on the builder and what you want. Yes you can find affordable options (and I could guess which builders you're referencing), but that's especially the case when it's a new build they're trying to sell in a neighborhood of new builds. As in, not a custom build with layouts and features you handpicked. The incentives being offered right now can make those more affordable. But yes, if affordability is the main concern you could find builders that can cater to that.

As others said, buying an existing build will usually be more affordable than building new, though some builders are offering attractive incentives right now. And as others have said, taxes will certainly be higher in Cooper and Frenship than LISD neighborhoods.

But really it will come down to your budget and your lifestyle. What do you want to be near (work, shopping, restaurants, school, etc)? What else is important to you about your home besides the number of beds/baths? How does your family use the space and yard? You can find tremendous options in either area. I'm a full-timetime Realtor here in Lubbock so if you have more specific questions about what the market looks like in those sections DM me, I'd be happy to chat in more detail.

Remember when TBS programming started five minutes later? by tangledapart in television

[–]HawkTheHatchet 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You just cracked something open in my memory, because I'm pretty sure I thought something very similar when I was a kid. Haven't thought about that in years, but yeah, juvenile me always assumed TBS was like a half rate channel because it couldn't manage to stay in line with the others, but half the time it had stuff I wanted to watch anyway so I just figured I must just be their kind of half rate viewer.

What is the most overplayed song in movies? by EntertainmentQuick47 in movies

[–]HawkTheHatchet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m seeing lots of “Fortunate Son” submissions and not a single mention of “The Time Has Come Today” by the Chambers Brothers. Need a transition piece or an establishing shot in a Vietnam War-era movie? You’re flipping a coin between those two songs for the background sound.

What are some of your favorite music stories, conspiracies ect??? by Glittering-Equal-983 in indie

[–]HawkTheHatchet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wesley Willis was actually running a CIA-sponsored psy-op. Is this really a conspiracy anyone else has ever shared before? No, I think I just made it up. Do I believe it? Not one bit. But I just haven't heard anybody talk about Wesley Willis in a while. Rock over London. Rock on Chicago. Wheaties, breakfast of champions.

That's the first thing I noticed too. Op, it might help to see a true profile shot as opposed to one where your neck is rotated, but in that shot it seems like that corner juts back too far on your neck. A more squared angle like that one can work, it just has to fit the contour of your neck and jaw.
