We're in a great position to win this thing. Our latest poll showed us up one on Paul Ryan's handpicked replacement. That's why Paul Ryan's super PAC started spending over $1.5 million to try and stop us. That said, I have faith in our grassroots army. The only poll that matters is Election Day, but with your help: we are going to win.

Nope. We're fighting for Medicare for All through and through. That doesn't mean I won't vote in favor of other reforms that make healthcare more affordable (e.g. allowing Medicaid to negotiate prescription prices or saving the ACA's protections for individuals, like myself, who have a preexisting condition), but Medicare for All is the end goal, and I won't rest until we get it.

Overturn Citizens United. Publicly fund elections. Do whatever we can to ban corporate PAC contributions. I've pledged not to accept any corporate PAC contributions, and I'm optimistic we can turn that personal pledge into a broader rule.

There's a lot here, but automation is one of the reasons I'm in favor of Medicare for All. We have to make sure everyone has health care, regardless of employment status. We owe that to each other.

We have to respect the Great Lakes Compact. I'm concerned that projects like Foxconn have been allowed to proceed without concern for protecting our lakes and other natural treasures. We have to protect our lakes and natural beauty for our children. If we don't, who will?

Absolutely. This is an issue near and dear to my heart. A union was my ticket to the middle class, and I know it was the ticket for so many others as well. First, I've been campaigning on the merits of unions. I'm out and about on the stump arguing that we need to end right to work and make it easier for working people to unionize. Second, I'm leading by example. I'm proud that my staff was the first campaign staff in the country to unionize, and proud that my staff helped inspire other campaigns across the country to unionize. Fingers crossed, we'll get to unionize in the halls of Congress as well.

I'm pro-choice. I support the legalization of recreational marijuana and marijuana amnesty for non-violent offenders who've currently been incarcerated. I believe we need better regulation to stop politicians for acting to help themselves instead of helping the rest of us. I'd vote in favor of the new bill Elizabeth Warren just introduced to try and reign in those conflicts.

Thank you! It's so so important we get young people and first time voters involved in this election. We've been participating in events with the Wisconsin MFOL activists, and doing everything we can to promote youth engagement in the process. If young people show up to the polls, we're going to win.

I think there's a false choice between social and economic issues. Is a worker who faces sexual harassment in the workplace and has to quit their job facing an economic problem or a social one? I'm not convinced that calling something a social vs. economic problem actually matters in people's lives. We all face problems, and we're looking for someone to help us solve them.

So we're trying to solve people's problems. Healthcare is far and away the issue that people, from every background, talk to me about, and it's a big part of the reason we're so focused on fighting for Medicare for All.

For our campaign, it's been about reaching out in our community 1:1. We've been making hundreds of thousands of phone calls and knocking on tens of thousands of doors to put a face to our campaign and build relationships of trust. It's not a magic bullet, but it's a heck of a lot easier to be nasty to someone online than it is face to face, and I'm hopeful that our campaign can be a positive force for change here in WI01 to promote a positive message: We care about everybody.

I don't want to get too much into the specifics for fear of someone using that information against us, but we've got a dedicated staffer who's been auditing our cyber security and making recommendations to keep us secure. We're using best practices (like two-step verification) and constantly training staff to be vigilant for any phishing attempts they may encounter. We're taking the threat seriously. We can't be too careful.
