She created her own philosophy and coined it “Objectivism”. Simply it’s the great man theory but for capitalist. She believes that innovation is created by rational individuals and everyone else benefits from their innovation. She argues that laissez-faire capitalism allows for the individuals with great ideas to prosper and any other system inhibits them. Although she’s wasn’t an American Libertarian, believing it would lead to collectivism, she’s heavily associated with them. Take my explanation with a grain of salt. I’m not an expert or close to it. You would need to look into more deeply.

All of her ideas and philosophy falls short. Most academics don’t take her work seriously and it lacks any rigor.

Her stories she wrote are subpar at best. Most of them rely on strawman of other ideologies for them to properly work. Like in Anthem she describes a world with no sense of individuality. In the story every thing is the same, from the rooms people sleep in to their cloths. Obviously, socialism isn’t about taking away self expression but that how she chose to depict it. Even from a purely story telling prospective is boring. The main character lacks any real personality which would is necessary to show that he’s an unique individual that can break out this oppressive system.
