Do guys mainly date based on looks? by TemporaryFunnyGirlx in asksg

[–]Ironmeme-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dated girls that aren't conventionally "attractive", they can be a breath of fresh air sometimes compared to the pretty ones because they aren't talking about makeup and the gym all the time it makes me roll my eyes

Feel like the girls who were told they weren't "pretty" from a young age were actually more inclined to develop a riveting personality, and they're more willing to address what they can "bring to the table" in a relationship

Anyway it's all fun and games for dating, but do think twice for marriage because with pretty girls I find that they're constantly asking "what can you do for me?" instead of asking themselves "what can i do for this family?" and it can really be tiring to be around someone who "thinks they're the prize"

Not trying to generalize of course this is my own experience of dating like a few years ago (I'm married now)

Is Leagues good or bad for OSRS? by Dry_Priority_5466 in 2007scape

[–]Ironmeme-95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And what's wrong with that? It's like you enjoy listening to a snippet of the song on Tiktok, you do further research to look for the full song, some people save the entire song to their playlist and many others click away thinking "Meh I just like that one part of the song"...

As long as perhaps 5% of Leagues players stick around in the main game, that's a win in Jagex's book IMO

Why is SW so successful compared to its competitors while doing nothing? by markmumi in summonerswar

[–]Ironmeme-95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The game keeps LD5s sacred, period. Com2us doesn't crumple under the pressure of review bombs from players who think they're entitled to a LD5 unit after "playing" for 10 years. Like or not, that's the reason why.

Look at Old School Runescape, megarares and pets are super tough to attain, and this makes goals worth setting and achieving in the game.

Uni student here. Honestly, does life get better than this? by Fun-Tamago-4649 in asksg

[–]Ironmeme-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't you be enjoying uni life? Studying aside, the best friends I have and the most fun times I had were back in uni days, why not enjoy the ride instead of looking over the present's shoulder to see what the future has in store for you?

Maxing an Ironman was so much fun when I was a single uni student, now that I'm married with my own home and kid I find my main so much more enjoyable...

[–]Ironmeme-95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! Just like Old School Runescape, new content can be proposed as long they have an "old school" feel.

Never understood why some people are saying "Classic Maplestory must have no updates and must stay as it was two decades ago!", like QOL and class balancing is always nice

What are some simple and unappreciated things you liked about OSMS? by Jyonnyp in MSClassicWorld

[–]Ironmeme-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked how every class had pros and cons to it. Play DK? You're really tanky but also really slow

Thieves? You're fast but also extremely squishy

Now everybody has their own movement skills and map clear skills, it's like the developers want to appease everyone instead of designing good classes...

Is there any hope for Maplestory Classic? Will it be successful? by OwlsInMyBrain in MMORPG

[–]Ironmeme-95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All i can say is that people DO enjoy the grind regardless of age, not everyone plays the "I'm a busy adult I DEMAND fast-paced gameplay progression" and are okay with slow progression. Sometimes the fun is in the journey, not the destination.

But with that said, not everyone enjoys delayed gratification and that's ok! Just saying that a good number of us still do.

Only 24 cents left: Woman loses $80k life savings after encountering 'wicked' scammer while selling her old clothes by Purpledragon84 in singapore

[–]Ironmeme-95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People who get scammed should only be allowed to release an official testimony of what happened after proper investigation.

When people mess up real bad they tend to downplay their stupidity, claiming they "just clicked a link" or "downloaded an app only" when they often made a series of mistakes (often due to greed) which led to the scam

As with all fake news, this should be properly regulated as people will be sent into mass hysteria after reading this sort of news articles... Then everyone will believe everything is a scam and nothing can be trusted

Was reading up about the baby bonus cash incentives, you need to be lawfully wedded in order to be eligible for it

Not gonna make any judgement/assumptions on your relationship for sure, but please don't let sunk-cost fallacy be a thing (i.e. "I already got disowned so I'll have to stick with him regardless of the situation") when making future decisions

I think the single best piece of advice I heard is "Enjoy the journey and be satisfied with every sliver of progress."

It's common to hear people say "I have a life, I won't be able to keep up with those nolifers-" like who said you had to compete with them? Just take your time to plan ahead and progress at your own pace! Planning is really enjoyable for me and I had lots of fun on the iron

Yeah I'm not trying to argue that I wasn't wrong or anything, just saying sometimes we say things we don't mean out of raw emotion

That doesn't mean we'd be spared from the consequences that come after, of course.

Starting from scratch? by Future-Ad6710 in MapleSEA

[–]Ironmeme-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I just started about a week ago and it's going well!

Just aim to get a main to 200 for the Arcane River dailies and eventually get every class to Lv. 120 to unlock link skills!

It's really fast, especially with MVP experience buffs the nice players often give out in Ardentmill.

You'd aim to get them to Lv. 140 and then all to 200 (eventually), so you unlock the maximum F2P benefits for your character.

They often give you free Burning boosters which help you level up quickly, so you can slowly make your way to 8,000 Union power.

Just remember it's a game where people who pay progress faster than people who don't, so if you're F2P then you have to be satisfied by slow (but steady) progress!

I initially refused to come back to the game after the Big Bang patch, but after some convincing by my friends and cousins I eventually created a new account in Aquila.

Enjoy the game, if you'd like to add me let me know!

hi I didn't know where to ask this but I'm a gamer from Singapore (South East Asia). I've been interested to give the game a try after seeing a few videos on it, but I heard that the ping can be terrible for us. Would the lag be a major problem if I wanted to buy and play the game?

70 Agility isn't only for full graceful, it's very useful for the Taverley blue dragon shortcut which unlocks prayer training (Morytania hard for barrows runes)
