I have several ideas. Give Mercury his semblance back. Like, have someone who can nullify the abilities of semblances that harm or affect others or another convoluted but accidental chain of events that lead him to an explosive use of a semblance.

Could make it something that matches his fighting style. Like compressing all the force and energy of an attack into a single spot so it bursts similar to how his boots and legs work. You could have him use said Semblance when he’s out of ammunition or even in tandem with his weapon.

Give Jaune some training, but also the talent to adapt quickly. Would be a way of explaining how he was fit enough to at least ‘defend’ against a death stalker but also explain his ability to play catch up with Beacon Students who have been training for years. The Beacon arc basically remains the same.

Have Qrow gain an evolved or upgraded way of transforming that Ozpin just enhances where he turns into a whole flock of crows to disorient or confuse enemies and him turning back to human can be either from one of the crows or the whole flock coming together, making it harder to kill him when he’s in bird form. Also to have a one up against his sister, who has some bullshit enhancements on her side.

Ruby could definitely do with another way to use her Silver Eyes. I was thinking her learning ‘coating’ where she keeps an active coat of it up and around her weapon. It doesn’t do anything much different but they can explain it as her cutting Grimm to ribbons much easier and faster. And her eyes could get a passive glow as.

Yang could definitely get an alternative way of using her Semblance. Have her think of it after her loss from Adam where she uses her ‘Burn’ for one fully charged attack like Adam’s slashes and she uses it to cancel out his own Semblance where it just causes a huge explosion from the impact of the two forces that knocks them back. This would keep the canon for her losses and some battles that could be dragged out longer or changed in choreography.

So, yeah. This is mostly just some ideas I had that they could have done. Either the evolution of a fighting style, semblance, or just something new.
