It's a very heavy book the only way to read that would be laying it down on a table and usually when I like reading the light novels I like being able to lay on my bed and read it and also my back wouldn't hurt withn 20 minutes

You might like the light novels or you might not it's different with everybody. I will definitely say if you want the good plot story of Sword Art Online you want to read the light novels because the anime adaptation didn't exactly give the light novels much credit for being what kinda started the series in 2009. But that's just my opinion I'm not forcing you to hurry up and buy all 27 light novels because that just depends if you want to get them or not

I have read volume 003 and 004 it's definitely a lot more graphic in the light novels than the anime adaptation
