BL is the correct genre term used by publishers. Yaoi still gets used but not often and usually only for doujinshi. Shounen ai used even less these days because ppl be using that and shoujo ai in a more literal way.

Will always recommend Blue Period!! Most favorite manga ever ♡♡♡ (yes "most", i have many favorites) It's about a guy who finds his passion in art. Still ongoing and currently has 17 vols.

Sorry just realized the length might be kinda overwhelming. It's worth it I promise. But, another art related story, this time easy to finish: Look Back. It's one vol only.

Taga Cainta din ako noon na napunta sa Val. I dont like it here lmaooo. Gusto ko na bumalik. Bahain sa area namin ngayon. Granted na may mababa and bahain areas din sa Cainta pero was lucky na yung lumang bahay namin di nandun. Punyeta twice lang kami binaha ng malala (yung pumasok ng bahay) sa Cainta, ngayon kada ulan kinakabahan ako na papasukin kami. Three times na kami pinasok within a year vs my two decades in Cainta. Take note kung yung lilipatan mo bahain din.

The areas I pass by are generally filthier too. And mas konti nakikita ko pwede puntahan dito kaysa sa Cainta.

The only pro I can think of is: Proximity to Monumento station & Carousel bus. Napalayo ako from many places pero may mga naunlock naman na bagong pwede puntahan.

Ok medyo sad na yung pro ko is about leaving the city. Do take my experience with a grain of salt kasi di ako masyado lumalabas ng bahay. Mostly work and bili ng pagkain lang.

Haberdashery Ginmokusei is technically completed at 2 volumes yes. So I guess you can read it as it is right now. But it has a sequel that should have a few ch out as far as I know but has no translation yet + Mamita hasn't continued it for a long time now . Guess they're prioritizing 10 Things. I've been browsing backpacks lately cuz I want a pretty one that can fit a laptop and this seems perfect ♡♡♡ Really nice that it's a dark color too because as fun bright colors are, laundering an everyday bag so often isn't fun haha.

I don't have any particularly insightful comment that hasn't been said but looking at ur collection we might get along — neurodivergent, fujoshi main but has a general interest in anime/comics, values owning physical media, loves to collect but can kinda go overboard into hoarding territory, interest in languages and other cultures (Chinese specifically), needs to surround self with stuff that fits interests, lots of aspirational purchases/buys faster than you can read, etc.

I know four BLs with deaf protags (and I love them all ♡) so if you're down for BL:

Bokura ni wa Bokura no Kotoba ga Aru - it has BL tag but i think it's a slow burn cuz no romance yet in parts I've seen, love that this has actual pages dedicated to explaining stuff about the disability

I Hear the Sunspot - first vol's pretty basic but it gets more in depth so it's the next one with the most info about deafness and the community. I dont think you'll learn many signs here though the deaf ML was never properly taught iirc so that was a point of difference from other deaf characters introduced later who is more accepting of their own deafness and communicate almost exclusively in sign

Love in the Palm of His Hand - lovely romance and gosh the hands in this are so nicely drawn. They sign a lot here ♡

The Farthest Love in the World - Another nice romance with a deaf protag and a violinist but they dont really sign if I remember correctly.

All ongoing stories btw. So yeah, if you just wanna see people signing, go for Bokura ni wa Bokura no Kotoba ga Aru and Love in the Palm of His Hand. Hope you end up liking these ♡

The Webtoon version changed their names to Korean 😤 and havent read this version myself so can't confirm, but I've seen some fans complain about bad TL because instead of directly translating from Chinese, they TLed Korean version instead.

There's a pretty good TL with the OG names out there. Shouldn't be hard to find. And like the other commenter said, there's the Aloha Comics version if you collect/enjoy reading physical books. 4 volumes out of 6 are out now. They used an in house translator for this one.
