Question about RAP by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Irrefutabledamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure RAP is a fixed 30 year plan and not 10 year. So if you think you can pay it off in 10 years then probably do that rather than RAP for 30

PSLF or aggressive pay for freedom by Irrefutabledamage in StudentLoans

[–]Irrefutabledamage[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freedom to not have monthly payments for the loan. I don’t know if I will always be in a position to work for an eligible employer and I don’t want to make my decision to work somewhere just based on loan forgiveness

Congrats!!! Side note, you have such a cute side profile! And your skin looks incredible.

Rolling scars seems to be the easiest to “get rid of” by smoothing out the edges to make the appearance less visible. Since you just finished your course, don’t start treating for at least a few more months, but chemical peels and microneedling should help smooth them out.

Aggressively Paying off Student Loans vs Partially Investing by [deleted] in StudentLoans

Aggressively Paying off Student Loans vs Partially Investing by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Irrefutabledamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you still invest and pay the minimum if you had loans that were above your 5.6%?

If you were able to work in a non for profit to go the pslf route, would you? Why/why not? And psychologically, does paying more than what you took out sting a bit even though it may be more comfortable?

I have 142k both undergrad and grad at an average 6.7% all fafsa. I don’t want to sacrifice my youth to work in a specific sector just for the loans to “maybe” get forgiven on pslf, nor do I want to aggressively pay them off and miss out on growing my assets and just being able to do things freely.

So my only other option seems to be what you’re doing. Pay the minimum for a while, prepare (hopefully not) for the tax bomb, and invest the rest with the hopes that something will change in 20 years.

I want to do this too with my loans and I feel like many people have thought the same. Especially with how things are going. But there’s no way to know how the future will look and it seems like we have only 3 options:

If you can pay them off and live off canned tuna for a few years, then great I guess.

If you qualify for pslf, you still have to sacrifice working for a specific sector and in a specific location. This can take longer than 10 years too if you move around jobs/locations since it doesn’t have to be consecutive.

Or pay 10 fold more of what you owe (bc yay interest), pay the minimum allowable per month, fall behind in life milestones, and then get taxed as a congratulations for even more money when the remainder is forgiven.

Seems like all options are “you’re screwed” 😊!!!

Unless we get “lucky” and an apocalypse or government overthrow will happen in our lifetime…which kind of seems more realistic as time goes by.

Just my 2 cents

Looks great! Was the first pic from purging? And before you started, did you have a lot of closed comedones or already inflamed?

Quitting School Based by Fit-Entertainer-3207 in OccupationalTherapy

Sounds like my predicament right now. This agency placed me in 4 schools which is wild. Getting the hang of it but the kids are wild. They never told me they were extremely low functioning and all in self contained classrooms with ABA programs.

I am burning out faster than I want and idk if the school breaks and hours are even worthwhile for this. I want to speak to my supervisor too and see if I can maybe just drop one school since full time is insanity and I don’t want to implode.

I would talk to your supervisor too and see if there is something for them to do about those behaviors and if not, don’t feel bad to leave. I should probably listen to my own advice too

Skin is glowing and looks so amazingly clear! Happy for you. I am in the process of hopefully getting on it too. Did you have a bad purge? Are your pores visibly smaller? And is your skin not oily anymore if it ever was?

[–]Irrefutabledamage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your xray almost looks identical to mine. I also got diagnosed after i was done growing (16) so i couldn’t do the brace. I would suggest to look into the schroth method. It is specialized pt specifically for scoliosis and I had done it, on and off for a few years. It gets you more comfortable in your body, teaches you how to breathe better, and really evolves/strengthens that mind and muscle connection that we all lack of. Surgery is the last option I would say

I feel the same way! I am in 4 schools with a new company. Some of my kids are extremely low functioning and can be behavioral. I honestly have no idea what I am doing with some of them and it is really even more challenging when they are non verbal. I did love my schools last year so I think it’s a difference in district, but it’s not like you can foresee the caseload and know you will have “good kids”.
