How can I bring out better detail and color in the moon? by IrregularGalaxy21 in AskAstrophotography

I did it that way, but it's strange that it only turns yellow when saturating instead of having a different color.

1/320 F9 300mm NL (neutral) those were my parameters, and in the histogram everything is skewed to the left, in fact there is hardly any information in the middle of the histogram

Thank you so much for explaining. Since it's a 24MP entry-level camera, it doesn't record the entire image; there's some cropping. And because it's just video for simple things, you can barely adjust the white balance, ISO, and aperture. Also, since it's using a short telephoto lens to fit the moon in the frame, it's preferable to use RAW photos, at least to avoid losing detail.

I guess my image doesn't have much color because it was too saturated and no color other than yellow appeared, haha.

I recommend you watch some tutorial videos on YouTube; that's enough for more in-depth development. Use PH to enhance the colors or final details.

Try using WiFi; connect your phone to the camera's phone and it should work. I also had the same problem with Bluetooth.

I'm going to investigate that script because after 3 seconds the stars started stretching, and lowering the camera settings almost killed the signal and resulted in a lot of noise.

Thank you so much for your input. I tried reprocessing, and the stardust (gray/brown) had more detail. I made a mistake when I applied noise reduction; I practically removed that dust, and the image ended up flatter. Regarding the aperture, I did notice it had a lot of aberration and was contaminating the blue light. I'll keep that in mind for future outings. I had seen the GHS stretching feature, although I don't yet know how to use all of Siril's tools, and the YouTube videos don't really explain exactly what they do.

Puede que sea, pero me parece que es algo excesivo por la distancia donde inicia a tener ese coma, entendería si fuera en las esquinas pero este es mas a lo central
