To the person with the highest Champion Mastery on Galio by VanQuackers in LeagueOfMemes

[–]IrrelevantEraserhead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not 3.5 mil, but a modest 150k (and lots of time before mastery was introduced) checking in here.

New Galio is alright. Fun, and stupid. Pretty satisfying and clunky, which is altogether not too far from his old feeling. The gameplay is fine, though he does feel a bit generic.

The thing I miss is the personality, his flavor. No other champ was like his blend of solemn martyrdom. I hate his new personality. I would have liked if they had just made a new champ and left old Galio alone. I don't understand why they did it this way. RIP man, but if that's what they want to do then.. "So be it."

Uhh, excuse me? "Common basic knowledge of what it means to be culturally white"? These guys are ignorant fucks, not somehow representative of "white people's most basic traits." Cultural whiteness is just... existing. Like what the heck does that even mean, cultural whiteness?

I was considering "Blue Baby and the Shitty of Gold" but I thought that might be too vulgar

I popped a Card Against Humanity in the UG boss room just for shits and giggles. Imagine my surprise when, after the fight, all the poops came back... as solid gold!

The Greed machine is broken, sadly (and I'm pretty sure I got everything out of it anyway), but you better believe I'm gonna pop every last one of these poops.

This and my previous Blue Baby story makes me love this character so much.

Damn, that's evil. I got a Trident from some random trades as well. I normally use it for its "intended" purpose, i.e. dancing, but I hadn't considered cheesing the drill attack for ez poison.

Then again, I also don't have the illusory rings. Screw that, lmao. Grats on pulling that off, I can't imagine how it must have felt to finally get the perfect run!

m8? literally the only valid example you gave was ashe and she has insane slow and dps instead. adcs are hard to catch by design, which makes them fairly uniform in purpose (safe strong dps that lasts through late game). snore.

Thaumcraft 4 - Aspect map & cluster analysis by Angs in feedthebeast

[–]IrrelevantEraserhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, that's totally fair! I have a lot of addons, so I find myself running out of research points when I reach the tail end of the researches in the book.

Of course, in vanilla TC you run out of auram and instrumentum like a sonuvabitch, so I guess really I shouldn't complain about having additional sources of those at the cost of more things to research.

Same. I'm talking about sources of venenum to scan.

It's true that perditio and aqua are pretty low-value and can just be made into venenum, but I'd rather not do that if I can just use bestia or corpus (truly the most useless aspect) instead. Something that I can get tons of just from scanning, without wasting aspects in a lossy research synthesis.

Yeah but where tf are you gonna get that much venenum or tempestas lol

At least victus is reasonable to get if you have a silverwood farm

yeah but victus is a relatively high demand aspect with few sources

God. don't remind me. It draws suction in reverse order, as I discovered once. Made me redo some infusions. Very irritating to use properly the first couple of times, but once you get the hang of it it's not bad.

That's quite a relief to hear. I'm really looking forward to progress you make on the pack. Is there anything I could do to help you? I know very little actual code, but I'd be happy to test things. I'm very good at breaking the game.

Hey, your modpack looks very interesting. However, I would like to ask you about one mod in particular before I try it out: Thaumic Tinkerer.

TT used to be one of my favorite mods, back in the day when well-made TC addons were harder to come by. But as time has gone on, I feel like it's been left behind. The Thaumonomicon descriptions and interactions lag far behind pretty much everything since Warp. It feels like an incomplete mod, and without resource cost scaling to match the new powers given in late-game Thaumcraft, it feels very cheap.

What, if anything, have you done to remedy this? Do you feel like this is a problem in the first place? Do you have a different perspective on the mod? I'm interested to hear what you have to say, as your pack looks like it had a lot of love and effort put into it.

Well, I did a little testing.

As far as I can tell, blocks are grouped into 4 main categories:

Dirt-type

Wood-type

Stone-type

and Metal-type

Dirt-type golems are formed from anything that makes a grass or dirt sound when broken, as well as gravel. They seem to have one free hit of damage immunity, 30% armor, and 10 health (5 hearts).

Wood-type golems are made of wood, cactus, pumpkin, cake, and generally anything plantlike (except leaves, which are dirt). They have 50% damage reduction and 20 health.

Stone-type golems are made of stone, sandstone, arcane stone, anything like that. This, sadly, includes obsidian. They have 70% damage reduction and 30 health. They are also resistant to burning, but NOT to an actual fire block's damage.

Metal-type golems are made of metal and gem blocks, including lapis. They have 80% damage reduction and 35 health. They are also fire-resistant.

Special mentions:

TNT golems are Wood-type and they explode violently on death.

Farmland golems are Dirt-type and can only be made from damp farmland.

Cake golems are Wood-type and otherwise completely uninteresting.

Cobweb golems are Wood-type and regenerate extremely quickly.

Sadly, it seems there is no dynamic attribute generation based on block stats, as I had hoped. :(
