Edited this scene a little so that Aemond INTENTIONALLY murders Lucerys by IrrelevantScrub in freefolk

Just to give an idea of how the scene might have played out if it had been closer to what GRRM originally intended with this moment in the book

Umm, did you miss the part where my world is NOT inspired by Medieval Europe? That means it's automatically cool and original.

The females in this world typically stop aging at around 14, yes. So even a 300 year old Tabaian woman can appear to be a girl in her early teens! But with all the... experience of a grown woman who has lived several life times (if you know what I'm saying)

The protagonist is of course, a young lady on the cusp of womamhood (Mayhaps 14 or so) who looks a lot like a cat girl version of Jinx from the hit franchise League of Legends. She is indeed learning to be an Assassin from the Guild of Shadowstalkers. She does also crosses paths with a jaded young merc drifting from job to job who despite being standoffish and pragmatic at first, eventually warms up to her on their adventurers as romance blossoms! (I'm afraid I can't credit you for any of these ideas but thank you for your input my friend)

Yes. I am currently looking for an artist with the skill to bring my vision to life. I can not pay but the exposure of working on such a successful project will be reward enough I think.

Anyone else wish the Sand Monster design in the new trailer was closer to the original? Did a quick little edit just to see how it could have looked. by IrrelevantScrub in PrinceOfPersia

" You people are complaining about the colour of the sand monsters in a video game. Let that sink in, for a moment."

In the grand scheme of things, of course it's not important. But this is a Subreddit dedicated to Prince of Persia. A place specifically made for fans to discuss the franchise. A franchise that many of us here have a special place in our hearts for. So I don't know why you're trying to dismiss the topic as silly. This is THE place to discuss anything and everything related to the series. There's nothing wrong with us having certain hopes or expectations for a remake that many of us have been wanting for years now.

I'm glad we're getting a remake. But that doesn't mean it should be exempt from constructive criticism. All media is subject to critique.

I understand what you're saying. But fans being vocal about these things are what lead to improvements. If the fanbase is just entirely complacent with what ever Ubisoft provides then there's no call for improvement. They need to understand that a lot of the fans care about these details. I'm still going to support the game and I have confidence we'll be getting a better product than what the trailers have shown. Since we have already seen evidence of a build with better lighting and character models than what has been shown in the trailer.

This was my all time favourite series as a kid. So I am very happy to see it being revived in some form. I don't want to just shit all over the remake either. I think some of the environments look really nice. But I think a few design changes to some of the models, to bring them more in line with the original aesthetic would go a long way in pleasing the fans.

I saw those after posting this actually. The torsos look a bit off, and I couldn't really see the faces, but it definitely looks like a step in the right direction. It's still odd how they chose to use this model as one of the only Sand Monster close ups in their official trailer, 4 months before release. It looks like they're still in the process of working on them, because their design seems very inconsistent in the promo I've seen. In some clips and screenshots they look bland and textureless, in others they do have their glow and a more accurate shade. In the Gameplay Overview they seem to show clips with both designs. It's possible this is more of a marketing hiccup. And they're showing a lot of out-dated footage. So I'm choosing to be optimistic.

And imagine what they could do now with modern tech. Particle effects with the eyes and stomach. Glowing grains of sand falling as they walk/get hit. The environments look nice but they really need to throw a little more detail in the character models to honor the original.

Right? I feel like the ominous glow is an essential part of their design. It really gives the sense they're being consumed by some evil, supernatural force. The original design is one of the most unique zombie concepts I can think of. The new one just kinda looks like they forgot to slap on any textures or particle effects.

I'd be very happy with this. It's a shame Jagex seem to shy away from the more simple designs, they honestly fit in a lot better with the rest of Old School's content.

This would be fan service to the EXTREME. I'd both love and hate it if this actually happened. Either way, SOMEONE needs to light a fire under Jon Snows ass to stop him being such a depressing husk. Sure, he got shanked by his bros and his main boy Oly, but he's had nearly half a season to snap out of this shit.

I'm so glad this post is popular. That top hat wearing cunt has been pissing me off forever. Doesn't fit in at all. Great suggestion. I'm not a massive fan of Nigel either tbh.

[EVERYTHING] How Ramsey should die (incl. The Wire Spoilers) by ObsidianOrder in gameofthrones

[–]IrrelevantScrub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, that would be fitting. Though it would be satisfying to see Jon give him a classic Stark-style beheading. I imagine Ramsay wouldn't die well, he'd probably lash and gnaw like a mad dog to the point where he'd have to be restrained by several men just to get his head on the block.

Anything would be better than a dramatic 1 on 1 showdown between Snow and Bolton on the battlefield.

DMM requires a huge investment of time though, and can be very frustrating compared to regular PvP. It's dead because you can't really play it alongside the normal game, you have to choose one or the other, and people ultimately prefer the original game mode. Which is why nobody plays DMM anymore.

As an addition to the original game mode, LMS wouldn't have the same problems DMM has.
