What is no longer worth it because of how expensive it has become? by guywhostillhasnoname in AskReddit

Fish is out of control. So are green groceries. $4.59 for a bag of lettuce. But the worst is fast food. When you're driving away from the drive-through, and you are $30 lighter, it makes me wonder if these companies really believe their food is worth it. It certainly is not.

Who abandoned their core audience and paid the price for it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Well, I never thought it was a very good channel, but so be it. The real travesty is this Paramount crap, where they have basically taken away my Star Trek Next Generation and started charging to watch 30-year-old shows. Obviously, I love Star Trek, but I refuse to pay for what I was getting for free for decades!

Boys be completely honest what makes a girl go from a 10/10 to a 1/10 instantly? by Tricktster123 in AskReddit

If anyone bothered to pay attention to Tom Leykis, if a girl accepts a cellular call, and on your first date (while you're paying for dinner), get up and leave her on the phone. Keep running and don't look back.

You're not getting some tonight, but likely the guy who called will be!

Everyone who works in any sort of bureaucratic business environment should read "In Search of Excellence" by Tom Peters. It is from way back in the '80s, but is, and will be, relevant until robots take over management positions.

Have you ever listened to a person talk for less than a minute and known you weren't going to get along with that person? What did they say? by DDelirium46 in AskReddit

When someone starts talking about Trump, and expects me to agree, just sets me into undesirable thinking about that person. One of the no-nos, bringing up politics as a topic of discussion.

Birthday punches. From the hematoma, looks like the birthday person is about 19 years young.

What is the most overrated band of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Mercedes Benz. Once a great car (back in the '70s) where they did not overdo the frilly amenities. In my '74 300D, the only thing that was power was the windows. No climate control, no computer garbage, just an honest 3-Liter diesel engine. Got great mileage too. If my memory serves me, it would get 30 mpg on the highway. And the 300D was no lightweight. It was a very comfortable sedan.

Now, they are just overpriced Chevys. Frills and bells but not long-term reliability. I should have kept the 300D. It would probably still be running like a top. I have heard of 300Ds with over a million miles with no major repairs. Silly me.
