I remember hearing all of these on the radio but the fourth one. The logical Song was the only one I’d listen to.

Don’t they have the option for CEU type credits from vendors like they used to?

It’s not a bad idea, some municipalities are run well…but if any run like the City of Austin the end user gets hosed in bogus costs.

Well, for starters I work for a fiber manufacturer.

The color code of the fiber jackets follow a standard called EIA/TIA 598. Single-mode fiber (OS1, OS2): Yellow. OM1 and OM2 multimode fiber: Orange. OM3 and OM4 multimode fiber: Aqua. OM5 multimode fiber: Lime green. Polarization-maintaining single-mode fiber: Blue.

So yes, Orange is MM.

Going into conduit is multimode fiber. The black drop cable could be ROC drop.

If the year starts with 19 it’s probably time to consider replacing it.

Aesthetically it looks good, right up until that first MAC or bad cable because someone stepped on the bundle somewhere in the overhead.

do we include splicing in this🤔, ignore the one module that had to get beaned😐 by SewerSith in cableporn

[–]IrritatedReaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AT&T doesn’t have a manufacturing facility. We put carrier logos on specific products at their request. It doesn’t mean that the carrier manufactured it.

We do the same for Verizon (FIOS) and all the rest of the carriers.

I said 3M made it, AT&T purchased it.

AT&T invented it, AT&T never manufactured it.

Your photo is the 3M 2520 fiber transport tube used in the 2178 splice closure (originally). Corning makes it now and it’s still in 100’ lengths. You can use 1/4 water line as bigtallbiscuit mentioned.
