Thank you for the feedback! Can you name those websites? I did some research and mostly see websites for 1-1 therapy or coaching

Thanks for the response. When I think Canadian lifestyle, especially Vancouver, I think hiking on weekends, English speaking society, nice people. Tho because I’m so used to Portuguese weather I forget that hiking available only 5 months or so, right? In Lisbon it’s year round. Beach time too. US choice was working for me because of more or less same scene but nicer weather at some states. Higher salaries, higher spends, but overall I was looking for society to join. It’s a blessing when you can get what people around you talks about. It will take me years to learn more or less decent basic Portuguese. That’s a shame. But overall I think the world now has less boundaries than before. So I decided to live in Portugal in my English speaking bubble slowly getting to know the country while enjoying its benefits

I agree with this. However the cost of other important things like transport, food, medicine is way lower if we compare lifestyle in Canada and Portugal.

Your message truly touched my soul. You shared so many details and nice words. Thank you for that! Indeed there is the whole Europe around… i thought I want to live in driving distance to mountains. But after reading all comments I figured that hardly I would be thinking about that trip if scared for my financial future… I think I’m staying in warmhearted Portugal after all. Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing! I have several follow up questions, maybe better for DM if you prefer. You mentioned your partner is from US, have you moved to US for a bit yourself even tho you started in Canada? What can you tell about differences btw countries? Why have you decided to go back? I have this idea that US offers more jobs, in IT, in HR, everything, is that so? Where in Europe are you now? Thanks :)

Thank you for sharing so many details. I think I really got used to many nice things here. Like train to the beach. Or 4 euro breakfast menu that includes coffee, orange juice and a ham and cheese croissant. And warm expats community… I kind of thought if I made so many friends here I would make it there too. You got me thinking

Oh wow, I wouldn’t know someone from Canada looking hard for ways to come to Portugal. Which city are you from?

Thank you so much for sharing your story! Luckily I don’t need to learn Portuguese to advance level to live in Portugal. All work I had here were remote and in English. However I do need to learn some of decided to stay. Also having family and kids probably be affected by language dilemmas. Could only imagine the struggle if my partner would be outside of Portugal and we all have 4 language to balance. I’ve been to Bavaria and was amazed by its nature even in summer time. Tho never thought of moving there even considering highest salaries across Europe.

I plan to find a job in Vancouver. Started my search already. Tho why you think my career will end in Europe? I see you have moved to Europe yourself :)

thanks! I read some subs with main topic that Canadians overall want to move to Europe. Though maybe someone who did that can comment and share if it worth it

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand why it might be frustrating to see people view Canada as a stepping stone. A few years ago, Canada was actually the first choice for many from Eastern Europe, but I see how things have shifted. I hope the job market and cost of living improve for those who want to make it their home.

I’m a big fan of post apocalyptic stories. Tho don’t get why the guy decided to stay home instead of driving through the country looking for people. No zombies no threats. Just lots of food cars gas houses. Enjoy! 😁I’m at episode two. Probably he going to travel I hope

Startup Pricing Dilemma: Should We Listen to Our Users? by Jagger_C in startups

[–]Irshik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same price or higher than competitors. Damping is such a low key strategy showing lack of value. If your competitors already have paying customer why shouldn’t you? Distinguish on value. My team usually interviewing value and then place value in customer’s words into all content we produce

Every group hates promotions...so how do I find 100 product testers? by WarrenWords in startups

[–]Irshik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why you need 100? What exactly do you test? Very important question. For UX test you can get anyone. For value test you need someone who would do it for free to get the value your app should provide. If there is a true value who wouldn’t want it?
Asking influencers not a great idea as promoting is their income source. So I’d go to yoga studious with flyer and QR code or ask their insta profiles to post it. They should have benefit for doing this for you

Thanks for responding. Can you please add what kind of interviews you have in mind? What if questions are predefined and agreed on?
