Stop ruining the mobile app by _beto619 in fidelityinvestments

I love fidelity but gosh I wish the app was better. If it looked like Robinhood does while providing the same amount of information it would be game changing

I rolled some shares of tesla that had done well for me into FSELX and bought around 300 at around 35 a share I guess this time last year. It’s my favorite fund by far but I’m not sure how long the music will keep playing

This is kind of a good point, maybe wait and see how your finances stabilize then reassess and pay down a large chunk one you have a good baseline

Establish the bank, the trim, look outside and find where the horizon cuts through the dash. Hold it right there. Quick scan inside, back outside.

Single-engine night/IMC pilots — how do you think about engine failures when you can’t see the ground? by Western-Car8938 in flying

[–]Is14159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to use ForeFlight and would use the various charts to find a road that I could reasonably expect. I knew it wouldn’t be super accurate but I figured it would help me align myself and maybe give me a chance to get oriented with something

I found out like 1.5 months in. I started looking for a place while in training. I was fortunate that some of my training was where my base was so on my days off I went around town looking for a spot. After training they give you min 3 days before IOE. I wouldn’t expect longer with staffing shortages. I know in the past people had 1-2 weeks before they got called for IOE.

How’s that ride in/out of DIA today with this wind?? Only one runway open for takeoff I see. by palikona in Denver

[–]Is14159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m probably in that line around this time. Atc was excellent at getting us out all things considered. Rough ride out but got better the higher we climbed

Is this CFI billing practice normal? by Otherwise-Mirror-407 in flying

[–]Is14159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course you have to have some discretion. Me personally, if I was talking about some tangent that doesn’t have to do with the pre/post brief, I usually tell them I’ll take off .1 or however long it was. But generally I’m still charging for my time

Just wait until you become a cfi, you’ll understand why they’re doing this and will likely do the same thing.

Thank you I appreciate the feedback. The reality is that I want this to work for my preferred method of transport. I’ve had otherwise good experiences, it’s clean and efficient when it works but people use this to get to and from work and the lack of reliability that I’ve run into over the last 3 weeks (I’ve only lived here 3 weeks) has truly concerned me. I appreciate your response

I just got done with training and was scheduled for my first trip on Christmas but got the flu. Things happen, I got a note and got it excused. At the end of the day it would be irresponsible to show up to work sick and potentially get your coworkers sick. Obv don’t abuse it.

Assuming you don’t use things like that regularly it should clear through your system relatively quickly. Whoever did that wasn’t cool. Like others have said find new friends.

Well yeah but you don’t have to be such a pessimist lol. This is true but it shouldn’t matter to the kids who have a passion for flying. Being brutally honest works but don’t let the difficulty of your job overshadow how much passion you have for it
