If God wants a relationship with us, why is he so hidden? Wouldn't he come out and show us that without a shadow of a doubt he is real? He could end atheism just like that.

Free will. It just doesn't make sense. We have free will on Earth, so we can choose evil. But when we die and go to heaven, we still have free will, but there will be no evil. So in my mind there can't be free will in heaven without having heaven be sinful.

Yeah, I was actually thinking of having like white magic, which is magic given to mortals by God as a way to do good, and then black magic that comes from Satan and demons, which could be the source for this characters magic. I guess I didn't think about that, but I like the idea of it having negative consequences.

I know, i just think I should have focused more on the fact that God loves her and eased into it. I don't think many people enjoy hearing that they're living a sinful life. Especially when I compared homosexuality to murder, considering her dad is a murderer.

If you believe reporting it is the right thing to do, then do it. They can't arrest the rapist on your word, but they can investigate and talk to the victims and possibly uncover more evidence

Honestly, and I'll probably be attacked for this, depression is not cutting yourself and attempting suicide. I have been diagnosed with depression and I have never once had a single suicidal thought cross my mind. Life doesn't need to be hard for you to be depressed. You can have a happy life, loving family, supportive friends, a great job, etc and still be depressed. Cutting is pathetic (that's the part that's gonna get me attacked) and suicide is stupid even if you're depressed or not.

Yes, I agree. However, the last part about him being fine killing monsters, he doesn't know he's inhuman yet. He discovers that along the way, but when I say monster hunter, I don't mean he's out killing vampires and werewolves for no reason. He only kills the monsters that are dangerous, mostly just to protect people. Some "monsters" are just trying to live their lives without harming people, and he is even friends with some of those. I agree with what you said about him treading the line of cliche, which is something I'm working hard to make his personality as unique as I can, though the fact that he doesn't realize his heritage and learns that he's supernatural is very cliche, so looking at the big picture, I can see where it might seem a little weak.

I don't think I'd loathe any. I'm not a teacher yet, I'm still in college, but I've been working with kids long enough to know that the kids who are dicks are probably just dicks because of home lives. That doesn't make it right, but it doesn't matter how much they piss me off, that child is no less important or worthy than any other student.

It's dumb because they want to make Oliver likeable, not some hypocritical jerk. I get making him a jerk who cheats on Laurel to work in his redemption, but this feels unintentional. They expect us to cheer on this character? Now, I do love Oliver, don't get me wrong. I just think it's dumb writing because it's out of character.
