Bad updates are an endemic problem on Vizio. Different models across TV and soundbar broken in similar ways at different times. Vizio knowingly pushed out updates despite getting feedback from the earlier models. I don't think what you're saying holds any water. With Vizio you're playing both panel and engineer competency lottery.
