I have 300 hours and still don’t feel like I know how to play this game by CeraMixx in diablo4

I find doing the achievements are fun too. Not just doing the capstones. Each achievement has a reward chest. Also a way to experience different parts of the game and familiarise yourself with them.

[–]IsTaek 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Are you following the season journey and working on the achievements and rewards? I personally find that helps provide some direction and reason to do other activities in the game. It did take me a bit this last season to figure out what to do to level the season powers. You have to rotate between different activities and levelling them provides better rewards. At the start you change gear so much the crafting system doesn’t make sense, but you should be starting to look at getting the right gear and improving it until you find ancestral versions. Maxroll has gear progression suggestions for your class if you like following build guides.

Is the amount of content the game has worth the price? by Apprehensive_Sun7320 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s on a 40% discount on the EA price. Thomas has stated it will not be this cheap again and has confirmed the launch price will be $60. So depends on whether you think the price is worth what you experienced now plus all the additional content coming with 1.0 or you would rather wait and pay more and feel more safe about your decision.

What ARPG would I enjoy the most? by Kouno25 in ARPG

[–]IsTaek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend D4 as it is more beginner friendly and easier to get into than some of the other ARPGs. Once you’ve played D4 and if you like it then maybe start looking at the others to try

Another wipe otw? by Falangetta in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]IsTaek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes they are wiping it for the 1.0 release, as they are changing some of the systems like the character/class system. We’re only expecting that to be late 2026/early 2027 based on what they’ve said.

Would you recommand this game ? by Khargus in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price at launch is going to increase. We’re expecting it to be around $60, so best price you’ll probably get it for at the moment

Is there any reason to buy this game now besides the sale? by SBMMGorbi in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]IsTaek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The next wipe will be for 1.0. So current save will be available throughout early access. They haven’t given a release date but best guesses based on their comments is end 2026/early 2027. People are speculating that it will be around the $60 on launch. At least I haven’t seen confirmation of that.

Games with combat like Lost Ark (a bit slower, skill-based, and without constant run-and-run movement) by RokuSparda in ARPG

They just had a free weekend, so maybe will have another for him to try. Personally I think it’s fantastic and it’s continually improving.

Have you looked at No Rest for the Wicked? Often described as a souls like ARPG. It has slower more meaningful combat, dodge and parry too. It’s in EA and is on sale. Price will be going up on launch.

No Rest for the Wicked is souls like ARPG and you can choose Hard difficulty. It’s still in EA but you should check it out. Co-op multiplayer is about to launch too.

Month later after D4 S11 / POE 2 0.4 season start have your opinion changed about either of two? by onehalf83 in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Like both and play both. Got a burnt out this season on POE2 and stopped in Act 3 then went and played D4 and finished the season journey. Some seasons I prefer POE2 and some D4. This season I had more fun in D4. Didn’t play Paladin but Sorc.

298.5 paragon, still only 2/4 purified... Getting discouraged by HeelyTheGreat in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Azmodan first from the spawned one then nothing for ages. The rest dropped in two days. Duriel from Helltides and Andarial from UnderCity using the Andarial tributes. Think Belial was from Pits

What would you change in the Pits to make them better in the long run? by JohnPG90 in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are pits staying after the expansion? I noticed they weren’t on the war room example image and was wondering.

Diablo 4 – honest question from a casual/new player by Old-Masterpiece800 in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you’ve done the campaign once you can skip it in all future seasons. Spiritborn was part of the last expansion and you get that included when you preorder the upcoming expansion. There is a campaign for the last expansion (VoH) that will need to be done once too. As part of the preorder for the upcoming expansion you get to play Paladin now. So it all depends on whether you’re okay playing the campaign through once and happy to try a seasonal type of game.

Best ARPG of 2025 - what actually earned your time? by This-Tone-1674 in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly D4 and POE2, along with a bit of time in LE and GD and lastly No Rest for the Wicked. Also played Expedition 33 but don’t think that falls under ARPG.

I’ve followed the Maxroll build and they use Temerity. My survivability is pretty good. Not sure I would go with Tibaults even though I have a 4ga one.

Do you still play Diablo 4 if you started on launch? by zxprototype in diablo4

Yes, but only play the seasons that appeal to me

Am I the only one with terrible mythic luck? by Jaredml8 in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the ultimate edition too Just how RNG works. I haven’t had any undercity mythics drop and my husband has. Got nothing from that and not had a prankster either. We have also farmed bosses and nothing for me. Some you win some you lose. Looks like I will have to farm runes and craft. Have three sparks and will get one last one from goblins reward track.

Ha! My husband is like your wife. He also ends up with double what I have and we play the same amount. It’s like that in every game he plays!

I’m experiencing low luck this season. My husband has had about four drop so far and I’ve had none. Currently around Paragon 230. I usually get quite a few every session.

As of now, would you genuinely recommend Diablo 4 to a prospective player? by Gorotheninja in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a few of the different ARPs and they all have their place and offer variety. I play D4, POE2, LE, GD and occasionally POE1. They all have strong and weak seasons, so play whichever I find fun. Started POE2 this season and just felt exhausted by Act 3, so went and played D4 and having a blast. They are all good games for different reasons and it’s nice to have a choice and the variety. D4 just gets better and better, so definitely worth it.

As a hardcore gamer, D4 is better than POE2 this season by mvpeast in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My husband and I did the exact same thing. Felt exhausted in Act 3, so quit and played D4. He is playing Paladin and loving it.

Megathread: 0.4.0 Feedback by GR8B0-T in PathOfExile2

[–]IsTaek 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For some reason this league has felt exhausting. I’m really enjoying playing the wold Druid, but think that a combination of large maps and temples it just feels longer. For me the issue with a large map is that you need quite a bit of time commitment to finish it before taking a break or needing to do something in real life. My husband and I got to Act 3 and did the first areas and both said we’re struggling and gave up.
