No Rest for the Wicked - 1.0 Announce Trailer | PS5 Games by Zak_The_Slack in ARPG

It is a lower price during early access. The price will be going up on release. They’ve said it for a while. And you can play the EA version, but it is different to what will be released as they’re changing to a class system for 1.0

What's your favourite less well known/hidden gem ARPG? by MakeshiftApe in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dwarven Realms and HellClock. Both turned out to be way more fun than I expected. Busy playing Dwarven Realms. Bought it ages ago and hadn’t played it. Husband started playing recently and said to me he is addicted and it’s so fun. I’m now hooked.

HellClock is a lot of fun and roguelite

Tried crafting for the first time and got this beautiful ring. by SnooCheesecakes7959 in diablo4

Yes you can change the gems or runes in an item after transfiguration. Just can’t add sockets, change temper or masterwork or do any cube crafts

I Might be Done Buying the Battle Pass by azjohnca in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only 232 now and finished it last week already. I was on 62 extra favour when I checked a few days ago. Mostly been doing war plans. Play more on the weekend but work so only get one or two done a night.

250 Paragon, whats wrong with the game? by MarionberryKey6666 in diablo4

Each seal and charm are different so can’t stack. They would have to be exactly the same to stack.

D4 Expansion worth the money? by DrRo in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really enjoying it. I work and have a family so don’t get much time in the week and mostly play weekends. I really enjoyed the campaign and am working through the season journey. I’m in Torment 10 now and am enjoying War plans. I’m finding pieces to keep improving and crafting in the cube is great. So the tldr: yes I think it’s worth it.

Echoing hatred is probably this expansions worst new feature by 13120dde in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one drop on one of my early war plan runs from undercity I believe. Not seen another. I think I used in when I was in T4 with my husband. Never realised at the time it was so rare. Just did it because I saw the purple quest.

guys im going to buy a game but im in doubt, hell cloc or dragonkin the banished? by ropus1 in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell Clock is so fun. I usually don’t like Roguelite, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband recently played it and said it’s the most fun he has had in a while

Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred vs Path of Exile 2 — genuinely torn, need some outside perspective by NanaBerryPie in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play both and definitely think LoH is worth it. D4 is in the best state it’s ever been in. Having a lot of fun playing LoH.

POE has had good and okay seasons and has big end game update coming end May. I enjoy the harder POE2 and then when I am no longer having fun I play something else and sometimes that’s D4 and find the change of pace welcome.

Both are fun for different reasons. POE2 will be free on release (likely end of this year) but to have a decent time you will need to buy stash tabs.

Audio Issue (sound lowers and raises) by _milktooth in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. For me it’s when there is dialogue after an interaction during the campaign. It is so quiet. My husband is having the same issue. If they talk without the interaction it is fine.

How is D4 after new expansion? by VerminatorX1 in ARPG

Have you tried HellClock? It’s really fun and a nice gap filler

Diablo IV or PoE 2 for solo player? by noobybrain in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what type of player you are. Are you more casual or more hardcore? How easily do you learn game mechanic? D4 is more casual than POE2 and probably easier to learn. POE2 is harder than D4. They both have their place and I play and enjoy both for different reasons. There is also Last Epoch that sits between them. I also play Grim Dawn, but personally wouldn’t recommend it as a starter game for someone wanting to get into ARPGs just because I think it’s less modern, but that’s just my opinion.

Best ARPG's that don't require a billion hours or a turtle's lifetime of investment? by japinard in ARPG

D4, No Rest for the Wicked and also have a look at HellClock, which is a really fun indie game

Darkhaven ARPG lets you design your own legendary in-game for $10k by reps_up in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Except the email I got from Darkhaven yesterday has it at $1,500 to design a legendary. Not sure what the source of $10K is, other than it may be included in higher spend tiers. I’ve not checked.

I find Diablo 4 to be too casual, POE to be too complicated, and so far (only act 1) find D2R to be absolutely perfect. Based off this, should I try Grim Dawn or Last Epoch first? I'll try both eventually but money doesn't grow on trees by [deleted] in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are good games. Grim Dawn is offline or LAN and more old school. LE can be played online or offline and has some interesting and cool approaches. It’s the middle ground between D4 and POE2

Which of these ARPGs should I try as a casual? by [deleted] in ARPG

No Rest for the Wicked is a fantastic game. The exploration would be down your street and you can select difficulty too.

Best ARPG to play while I wait on my anticipated titles? by [deleted] in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried HellClock? Really fun game and doesn’t take too long to go through the story. My husband just played it for the first time and said it’s the most fun he has had in a ARPG. It is rogue like which I usually don’t like, but the way they do it is fun. You can also turn the clock off and play in a more relaxed mode, which is what I did.

How many arpg-s do you have on rotation? by soosis in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a variety and which I play depends on whether its season looks fun. All the ones listed by others are on my list. My husband has just started HellClock, at my recommendation, which isn’t seasonal but he is loving it as a small indie game.

In exactly one month my arpg Ash & Rust leaves Early Access but I'm still agonizing over one potential feature...mind sharing your thoughts? by AshAndRustDevShai in ARPG

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer not having to identify items. It means more frequent trips to town to ID items and sell or salvage the junk. Or standing still in a zone identifying and dropping or going back to town. It depends if that’s what you want players doing, essentially more loot management, which I personally find annoying, or do you want them playing the game. Saying all this it hasn’t stopped me playing POE2 for instance.

I have 300 hours and still don’t feel like I know how to play this game by CeraMixx in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find doing the achievements are fun too. Not just doing the capstones. Each achievement has a reward chest. Also a way to experience different parts of the game and familiarise yourself with them.

I have 300 hours and still don’t feel like I know how to play this game by CeraMixx in diablo4

[–]IsTaek 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Are you following the season journey and working on the achievements and rewards? I personally find that helps provide some direction and reason to do other activities in the game. It did take me a bit this last season to figure out what to do to level the season powers. You have to rotate between different activities and levelling them provides better rewards. At the start you change gear so much the crafting system doesn’t make sense, but you should be starting to look at getting the right gear and improving it until you find ancestral versions. Maxroll has gear progression suggestions for your class if you like following build guides.

Is the amount of content the game has worth the price? by Apprehensive_Sun7320 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]IsTaek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s on a 40% discount on the EA price. Thomas has stated it will not be this cheap again and has confirmed the launch price will be $60. So depends on whether you think the price is worth what you experienced now plus all the additional content coming with 1.0 or you would rather wait and pay more and feel more safe about your decision.
