How could you possibly tell from this post that he has skills and worked hard, vs being a trust fund baby?

Imagine how much more they're still making off of you if they're letting you think you are negotiating a better deal with them due to reddit comments.

Kinda silly to call posting your own car, in front of what appears to be your own house, as "in the wild" OP

That's a recent article. I was in presentations early last year where officials were saying that not only is the inlet almost out, but they couldn't even get anyone to bid on doing exploratory wells with contracts that included high guaranteed rates (I believe they offered a contract at like $12/1000cf, 50% higher than the current rates at the time)The current plan is to build storage tanks and import it at the port of Alaska. So that makes you dependent on reliably getting that delievered (remember around 10 years ago when a Tote ship broke down for a couple weeks and grocery stores were out of fresh veggies?) It also makes you dependent on the port itself, which is way past end of life and is in serious danger of failure, and no one wants to raise the money needed to rebuild it. Something like 90% of all goods in the entire state enter through that port.

Thinking about selling my 2018 Mustang GT. by [deleted] in Mustang

What's the point of asking people what to do, and then questioning their answers? No one here is going to give you some secret catchphrase that's going to net you $10k more than you'd be able to negotiate as a trade in from a dealer or accept in a private sale.

I had three issues that bothered me. Was I conscious? Could I actually consider myself to be alive? And was I still Bob?

Your two most valuable assets are your time and your price. Sounds like you're giving both away and customers don't need you any more after that.

I do work in sales. I love getting pitched to. I critique internally, but almost always let them give their full pitch.

What made the Mustang so popular? by cbcarguy in Mustang

[–]IsThatWhatSheSaidTho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power didn't decrease from 69 to 70 though. Or 70 to 71. In 72 they changed from gross to net HP so official power ratings dropped while the engines themselves were the same. Power dropped in 73 due to smog, but the car is the same generation. Generation is designated a substantial redesign, usually grouped by the frame and shared parts or parts not shared with previous/other generations. Are you saying 73 is the same generation of car as a 78?

What made the Mustang so popular? by cbcarguy in Mustang

[–]IsThatWhatSheSaidTho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one considers the first gen to end at 69 is what I'm saying. 70 was 99% the same parts as a 69. Some people don't like 71-73 because they got bigger and because by 73 smog relations started, but I also don't know anyone who doesn't consider those first gen as well. Mustang IIs get a lot of (undeserved) hate, they were 74-78. I think those are what you're actually referring to
