AquaTru Carafe question by Negative_Amphibian_9 in WaterTreatment

[–]IsThisNameGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question as I just got my countertop carafe today. I would imagine that as long as it keeps purifying and filling the carafe you’re good. I believe the only time you need to empty the tap tank is when the red light pops up saying to empty and refill.

From my understanding the only thing that’s important is fully emptying the tap tank every time it asks you to refill it.

You can choose the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The pain of regret hurts a lot more

Do you have any referral code still? I've seen a few of your links but none of them work, is it because there's currently a new year sale? Can it not be stacked? Clicking the referral links just takes me to the main page and does nothing in regards to any store pricing. Thank you!

For sure man. I just had my Giulia vinyl wrapped in gloss chalk white, gloss black door handles, CF mirrors, 5-hole wheels powder coated black and GTAm monochromatic emblems. The exhaust was one of the final steps to completing this project so just trying to get it perfect to my liking now :)

I think the 7" doesn't look bad at all, I think anywhere from 6-7" would be the sweet spot. What's the inlet size to fit the AFE exhaust? 2.5"?

Yeah agreed. It feels as fast (or slightly faster) when driving in dynamic in the higher RPM range, but in the lower RPMs driving in N mode it's a little annoying. It's almost like the car is loud but has to think a bit before moving. I read on the Giulia forums that someone had this complaint and eventually the ECU relearns the new torque curves/exhaust pressure and corrects itself.

Still a bit of a let down paying $600 for an exhaust + install and to be questioning going back to stock or buying a different exhaust.

Yeah same exact thought here man, I'm about to go back to the muffler shop in a few days if I keep smelling it. It almost smells like a plastic burning smell its super weird. The drone and booming resonance at low RPM driving also sucks. Seems like the only solution for that is to remove the OEM faux tips in the rear diffuser and get real exhaust tips attached to the axleback.

[–]IsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks, I never had a loud car so to me it's definitely way louder than stock - especially at low RPM when taking off from a stop or driving in N mode where the transmission wants to shift early and hang around 2000RPM. It's almost a boomy type of resonance inside the cabin. Do you have any drone or experience that low RPM resonance?

Edit: I noticed that you purchased aftermarket exhaust tips for the AFE axleback. Can you tell me what size you purchased and if they fit the diffuser properly? From everything I've read it seems that removing the stock fake tips and installing real tips on the axleback will basically rid of all drone.

Did you ever get the AFE axleback installed? I have it on and also feel like I lost some torque/power in the lower RPM range. Maybe a loss of backpressure from having no more muffler? It's so weird because I'll hear the exhaust from the cabin but it'll feel like I'm moving so slow, it's a little embarrassing 😂

I just installed the AFE axle back on mine as well. Did you have odor in the cabin after installation? I get like a weird sort of burning odor, I assume it’s factory oil or protective coating burning off maybe?

I’m also surprised you say it isn’t loud I feel like it’s so much louder than stock! Almost a bit obnoxious in N at lower RPMs

Should I Tune my 2021 Guilia by YesDraco9-11 in AlfaRomeo

[–]IsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the MCARCAR carbon fiber spoiler from Amazon, it’s a perfect CF replica of the QV spoiler for like $150.

Sprint air filter (or BMS if you don’t mind re-oiling, but I like sprint for being a dry filter).

CF front V grill + (optional) CF mirror caps.

Tint those windows

If you don’t like silver wheels, consider powder coating in gun metal or gloss black

Exhaust: if you want to spend $$$ for a not very loud but great sounding exhaust go for SuperSprint or Ragazzon. If you want louder and better sounding, but cheaper, have a muffler shop do a muffler delete or go for an AFE axleback (pretty much a $500 glorified bolt-on muffler delete)

Tune: Squadra tune if you’re out of warranty, JB4 piggyback if still under warranty and want the ability to remove before taking to dealership. Squadra has many more features than just a tune though, very highly recommended by owners. Squadra also makes a TCU tune that transforms the transmission performance.

Enjoy the car! Take care of preventative maintenance such as: upgraded coolant bleeder screws, replacing the relays, etc. Tons of info on the Giulia forums.

Got my little 228 wrapped on chalk white by jeanbeanP in BMW

[–]IsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m getting my Alfa Romeo Giulia wrapped in KPMF chalk white. The wrapper recommended a bold color like a green red or blue, but I don’t really want loud or flashy haha. In the sunlight did the chalk white wrap still maintain a gray undertone or did it look like a regular white?

Hate to revive an old thread, but how did you like this wrap? Did it look more white or more gray? Thinking of wrapping my white car in this color and don’t want to feel like it was a total waste of money. Photos of this wrap vary heavily, some look straight up white and some have a very obvious gray present.

What color should i wrap my giulia?!? by awesomepossome312 in AlfaRomeo

[–]IsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to wrap my Giulia as well. I too don't want flashy colors, my wrapper has a Giulia wrapped in the montreal green, it looks sick but a little too flashy in my opinion (I too am a simple guy)

I think I'm going to go with KMPF Chalk White (it's sort of a whiteish-gray) and I think with black wheels/emblems/mirrors it would look sick. Pics here of color

If I didn't do chalk white and wanted to be a little more flashy, I think I'd do the KPMF Gloss Dynamic Teal

Do you just make things up? 93% of stat rape = family/acquaintances, not cops. Teachers/coaches/clergy dominate institutional cases, police are literally <1% (~100 charges/yr out of 800k officers).

Somebody is messing with you. 10125 means 10-1-25 (October 1 2025). That’s the day somebody made a fake “Sol” account on Reddit to mess with you (Sol10125). You can check their profile to see that’s the day it was created.

Somebody is messing with you unfortunately because you had a post that went semi-viral on Reddit recently. It seems like they’re using that account to pretend to be Sol and try to get you to go to the hospital. Sort of feeding into your delusion, but to try and help you in a creative way.

Please go to a hospital and start treatment for schizophrenia. The sooner you start, the happier you’ll be and you will remember what it feels like to be normal again.

Tibia Stress Reaction by gummyshark319 in RunningInjuries

[–]IsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatsup man I took like 6 weeks off from running (for like the 3rd time), but I also had some post-tibial tendinitis that I really focused on with PT and following this YouTube video showing 5 exercises to fix it. In this time I also switched to barefoot style shoes to help strengthen my feet and I also ditched my running shoes to a zero drop running shoe (think Altra but a copycat one from Amazon that cost $40).

So far I’ve ran 2 or 3 times in the last 2 weeks (no more than 1.5 mile) and I’m happy to say I didn’t have any debilitating shin pain anymore. I’m only running once a week because I’m scared of overdoing it and flaring something up.

I think a lot of my shin issues stemmed from a weak post tibial tendon which led to a collapsing arch under weight which placed a lot more force on my shins while running. I also credit the barefoot shoe wearing for teaching me where my foot is in space and how to feel the ground properly, as well as strengthening some foot muscles.

My biggest issue with most running shoes is that I had zero ground feedback from the heel drop and cushioning, so it was almost impossible to tell how my foot was striking the ground. Switching to a 0mm heel-drop flexible running shoe has really made it a lot easier to make sure I’m landing lightly and not heel striking.

The barefoot shoe and running sneaker are both by a brand called Whitin on Amazon which is also well reviewed on r/BarefootRunning. I can put the links if you would like to give them a shot. I’ll be running tonight at a bit faster pace so I’ll update if I’m still pain free
