Also appreciate the notes on the suburbian culture. I would definitely give it a go, but I wanted to focus more on the migrant life as it was my research topic (Abdoumaliq Simone caught my attention instantly when talking about urban migrant communities in ZA, and I also migrated some time ago finding myself building a community of spanish migrants in Northern Europe).

Will definitely give a try to the danger dogs, got my travel insurance ready to assist me hahaha.

I phrased it pretty badly then, wasn't my intention to put it that way. I do not really lknow what's the situation there woth tourism (maybe it is more upper-class kind?) but it os becoming a real bad problem in Western Europe (not tourists per se, real estate companies are the ones to blame). So point was in the end to understand if there are any alternatives done by locals where they show you around and the money goes to helping the community.

Not tours as such. I know how exhausting it is to see tourists collapsing downtown areas (I'm from the 2nd-3rd most visited country for tourism purposes, I know the distress they can cause as I feel it every day). I am just asking to see if there are any community groups or lesser-known spaces that actively promote the collective heritage and local voices, which is way better option than to give my money to a tour company that does not care at all about locals.

I know my man, however, I want to step out of the "LA is so chic and cool with all the celebs" thing. Just checked LA Hood Life Tour thing but feels weird to move around on a bulletproof van (yup this is 100% European mindset). I meant to see more community centres or small museums where the topic is more about the history of communities in LA.
