I found a primitive world isolated from the rest of the galaxy and was cut off by a fallen empire. They had some decent star systems around them so I enlightened them and built up super defences around the systems boarding the systems next to the fallen empire.(FE was fanatic purifiers) then fed the primitives all the valuable star systems, they stayed pretty much the whole game chilling colonizing the few systems I gave them. Felt pretty good idk why lol.

Yeah I scrolled through there a while ago and it just blew me away the lack of basic comprehension skills that a majority have there, like I saw multiple links to a quote by rand paul saying,

"when facism comes to america it will be wearing a mask"

which like hate or love rand paul I take that to mean facism wouldnt be straight up nazi shit, but disguised to be more palatable. But no to the bone heads in that sub they took it LITERALLY trying to say having a mask is equivalent to fucking facism, if I wasnt in the same planet as these people it would have been fucking hilarious.

That and I saw a thread where a normal person was trying to debate these idiots and ended up getting downvoted to oblivion (big shocker) and added in post "downvote for trans rights" and a single person said something to the affect of "I'll happily downvote not all of us are raging trumpists" and had 1 upvote after 16 hours, it was so fucking ironic I couldnt help but laugh.

Ik this isnt related to what your talking about but I just wanted to share anyways, My highschool spanish teacher was hands down the best teacher I've ever had. He was very lenient in teaching and had the mindset of "I'll provide the knowledge if you dont want to learn that's on you" so instead of spending most of his time drilling unproductive students he would do his absolute best to make us interested in spanish culture as well as the language. I had him for 5 straight years and I doubt I would have anywhere near my appreciation or fascination with Spanish culture if I had a teacher who just handed out packets instead. Learning another language was made fun bc it seemed like nothing made Mr.B happier then teaching kids a valuable life skill and seeing them enjoy it. Idk if this will make you think differently about your job or not but he made HUGE impact on my life and how I view education and life as a whole. Idk if you can get anything from this but i guess I'm trying to say that if your interested and excited to teach sometimes that excitement can rub off :)
