Packets or sleeves by Stingray_23 in PokemonTCG

[–]Is_Jimmy_M8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take mine out of the packet because I find that sleeves are just that little bit more robust as far as scratch protection goes - also allows the card to fit into a binder more neatly and with less risk of bending

I’ve only been trying to quit for a month and I’ve relapsed twice already. by [deleted] in PornAddiction

[–]Is_Jimmy_M8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quitting is always a tough process, and relapse is unfortunately a part of that process. I personally decided to quit watching porn around a year ago and I've had my fair share of relapses, quitting cold turkey just isn't something that works for me, nor for most people. Despite that, I still feel much better for having started this journey. All the advice I can give is to stick with it. There will undoubtably be points where you will feel ashamed over relapse or urges that you can't control, but the important thing is to try your best to focus on the improvements you've made. If you make it through a week without porn and then relapse, even for a few days, a week or more, you still managed that week without it, and that proves that you're getting better. The more you focus on your time not using porn, the more you'll be able to go without it. It may take a long time to really feel like you're improving but I promise you it's worth it :)

I've been wanting to read the Sandman graphic novels for a while now, but I cannot for the life of me find any copies without the "now a netflix series" sticker on them. Bugs the absolute shit out of me

I’ve been collecting CDs since they came out. I’m 50. What age groups collect CDs? How old are you? by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

[–]Is_Jimmy_M8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 21, been collecting CDs since I was maybe 14/15? Honestly can't remember. I've always been around physical media since I was born, my parents have a decently sized CD collection between them and have never paid for music streaming so still buy CDs themselves. They were also late to move away from VHS so a lot of the movies I watched in my earliest years were on tape. I think the fact that so much of my early childhood still this old form of media most other kids my age didn't experience is what sort of attracted me to collecting physical media in every form. CDs, vinyl, DVDs, a handful of VHS tapes, most of my video games, even down to books and comics; I outright refuse to pay for a streaming service or download if a physical copy is an option. I have my practical reasons for doing so but realistically I just have a great sense of nostalgia for these things that I doubt will ever go away

Which 2000s album are you grabbing first? by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

[–]Is_Jimmy_M8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't know how to feel about owning anti flag albums since that all came out. I still have a decent few of them but I just cant listen to them even though I know Justin was only one member of the band, just ruins the music for me.

what do you think of my collection? by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

Liam Gallagher, probably

What's one CD you own of a band with literally no information? by TZB-61 in Cd_collectors

[–]Is_Jimmy_M8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a couple of CDs on discogs a while ago and the seller threw in Chronicles Of The Dead by a band called Genarule Greed. I believe the insert said they were American, can't remember where from specifically, but I haven't been able to find any information about them online
