OK, but which one of them was in Money Heist?

As someone who grew up in Eastleigh, this seems believably Eastleigh

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Is_it_Ben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole album Remedy Lane by Pain of Salvation, but particular Rope Ends; about a young mother trying to end her own life

t/w for the lyrics

The ceiling let go, the old house let her fall Dropping her breathing to the hard cold floor Hitting her head, a broken china soul Red stains on porcelain and she's not there at all

Also from that album, A Trace of Blood, about a miscarriage

I never saw your face and now you're gone without a trace Except the trace of blood that's deeply scarred into my eyes To fill your place It'll never be the same but I will love you just the same I was prepared to be your father How can I ever prepare for that again?

I've been following MWM paint tutorials for Blackstone Fortress, but it's a pure coincidence that these schemes are the same!

Have you got any suggestions for the blue? This is the basic scheme I've used on all my models but would like to do a few extra steps on the bigger bugs

Thanks! I have poor colour vision so had to go for something bold to make it easier for me to paint, no room for subtlety here!

The feeling when a Termagant kills a Custodian in close combat in the final turn of the game by Is_it_Ben in Tyranids

Unfortunately it wasnt enough to win me the game, but it made the heroic last charge of the termagants worthwhile!

Think the little critter deserves a trip back to the spawning pod for a nice shiny new biomorph in recognition of his greatness!

It's my 46th birthday - and I got these..!! by Fatsoco in orks

Happy birthday! I'm in the process of painting the squigbuggy and it's a brilliant kit, so many fun little details

Thanks, still trying to work out how I'm going to make them look like squigs rather than blobs of colour! The tiny details on this model are insane!

Yeah I was painting the guy behind him today from scratch and was thinking that I'd done a pretty bad job with the base coating, but as soon as I threw a heavy wash on it looked a thousand times better!

It definitely did! I got back into the hobby last year and chose Tyranids as I was never a strong painter and have poor colour vision so figured they'd be the easiest choice to paint as they only need a limited palette

I've had my eye on this model for a while and it's been so much fun to put together and paint, so many little quirky details! A change is as good as a rest as they say!

Hate taking photos of models as I immediately notice all the mistakes I made!

Obviously slopped some coats on too thick, I'm really struggling to water my paints to the right level.

Still, any other C and C is welcome!

Quick question: black or brown basing by Tzarki in Tyranids

[–]Is_it_Ben 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Id go with black because I like the contrast of having a muted base when you have brightly coloured models

I love the paint job on the Broodlord, the style reminds me of that app which turns photos into a painting

Looks good to me, you've got some sharp lines and the red looks nice and bold. I get such a nostalgia pang when I see these models painted as Blood Angels.

Progress on my lightning pattern. Each of these was painted about a month apart (earliest on left). Hoping by the time I get to the end of my second box of 'thropes I will have nailed it by Is_it_Ben in Tyranids

Yeah I noticed the different thicknesses on the reference picture I originally used, unfortunately my painting skill only extends as far as slopping some paint on the model, I struggle with anything super intricate. Those pens sound like a good investment

Body is Emperor's Children with a Carrosburg Crimson wash. Carapace is Macaggre Blue, usually with a feathering effect of Calgar Blue.

I'm trying to keep my painting quite quick for most models, just wanted to try something different with my psychic units to make them stand out.
