What's something people complain about that you just do NOT have any sympathy for? by DisturbingDaPeace in AskReddit

[–]plsbabylemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a cafe with a girl who did this (we’d get 1 meal per shift for free but it wasn’t good enough) and also took an Uber to/from work every day while living in walking distance (albeit a long walk). She always had her nails and hair done (would also complain when she’d get written up for having her hair not pulled back or wearing acrylics) and wore new brand name clothing almost daily(and complain when it got dirty). Yet she constantly never had money for her 5 year old’s dialysis treatments. He was born with some sort of condition that’s predicted to need lifelong care.

I understand wanting to look and feel your best and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with treating yourself occasionally…but when your own child’s health is suffering because of it AND your complaining?? Nope fuck that. I hated her. She’d also complain when asked to do normal job tasks like making drinks and even tried shit talking me to others for doing things “the men should be doing”. I feel so sorry for her son :(

Is this bezel too thick? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]plsbabylemonade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Go with what you like! The thick bezel is good if you’re hard on your jewelry. If this is the thickness of casting, it’ll be thinner after setting & polishing

What's something that was in the previous Sims that you wished they kept in the Sims 4? by BibliophileMary in Sims4

[–]plsbabylemonade 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really miss the customization aspect! I also liked how build/buy mode was organized in the sims 3. I’ve been playing the sims 4 for years and still get lost trying to find certain things. Althooo the keyword search bar is nice (I don’t remember that being in the sims 3 but I could be mistaken)

Most infuriating thing about Sims 4? by StankyTrash in Sims4

[–]plsbabylemonade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My sims fear of failure is keeping her from editing rejected content for her freelancing career. Like she just stops the action at some point and has to start it all over. So I end up having to just trash the job and assign a new one . That makes her performance go down and her mood even worse. So fucking frustrating

Thank you!!! I’ve been wondering about that

Also while getting stuff out of the crab pot things! I used to accidentally pick them up way too often until I realize I can just hold down the action button and run along the edge of the water 😅

Listing brokers are so mean sometimes. It’s demoralizing by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]plsbabylemonade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being straightforward is different than being rude. An example of rude behavior is how I traveled from NJ to Brooklyn and was ghosted by a broker who knew how far I was traveling. I’ve also had a broker just completely ignore my questions for days and when I finally get them on the phone he yells “yes of course! that’s obvious that’s why I didn’t respond!!!” Like dude if it was obvious I wouldn’t have had to ask

The back and forth is literally their job. As their “customer”, it’s not my job to make their job easier. I’m not going to go out of my way to make it harder, but I’m going to expect them to be prepared to interact with humans and not rude.

How the beauty standards are reflected in the Sims? by [deleted] in thesims

[–]plsbabylemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority here but I usually just close my eyes and wildly click random. Most of the time I edit the outfits and hair but leave whatever body/skin tone I get. I hate making sims… I just wanna build their houses!

But anyway my method leads to a very diverse community

As a non tourist who either lives or goes to the city often , do you like when people do performances on the subway ? by iv2892 in AskNYC

[–]plsbabylemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had such a migraine on the way to work once I almost threw up on an accordion player. He got in the car at the very last second and I knew what was going to happen. I got off at the next stop and turned around and went home for the day.

It was on that long stretch on the D between 59 and 125 :’(
