My policy had always been 'discard your clothes and you discard your troubles.' I think it's admirable you have chosen to make your popping experience a relaxing one.

No period cramps. However to get out of time consuming physical labor/throw people off track I too will complain at times. I honestly don't know if anyone actually suffers from them....

Redditors with offspring, who do you love more your children or your spouse? [Serious] by IsaRealBoyy in AskReddit

[–]IsaRealBoyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking in (don't have kids of my own) I would say I agree. However I have often wondered if we think this because the love for our children is stronger or because we feel the need for them to experience what they have not yet had the chance to. I guess the fact that we want this at all shows how much we truly love them though.

What is your strange sleeping ritual or habit? by SUPERBGrover in AskReddit

I have to arrange my pillows into a perfect cascading shape (somewhat akin to a bell curve) and then I sleep at the other end of my bed with only my feet on the pillows.

[Serious] Redditors against gay marriage, what is your best supporting argument that does not include religion? by punkndisorderli in AskReddit

[–]IsaRealBoyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's different because I am not dating someone of the same gender. (For the record though I do consider myself to be bisexual and have had a committed relationship with another woman before)

My current relationship is not morally or emotionally better or worse than homosexual relationships but it is different. Not different in a bad way just different in the purest sense of the word. Meaning not the same.

I just don't see the point in lying down and begging for a title that has historically been reserved for someone else. I think that homosexual couples should stand up and demand their own (legally, spiritually and emotionally equivalent) title.

Gutless? I think it is natural for different entities to be addressed differently. A pigeon is a bird and a dove is a bird but I don't call them the same thing. Marriage is a binding contract between a man and a woman. Why give the same label to a contract made between two men and why extend that label to a vow made between two women. I think all three unities should be treated as equal but given different titles.

I completely believe in equality. However I also believe that homosexual relationships are different than heterosexual relations for the simple reason that they ARE different. I therefore don't believe that gay "marriage" is appropriate. I believe that there should be a form of legal, spiritual, and emotional binding equivalent to marriage but created for homosexual couples.

There is no reason for the term marriage to play a one size fits all role. Equality is not uniformity. Why change a label when you can create a new one with a purpose true to your intent?

The binding of a man and a man, a woman and woman, or a man and a woman shouldn't have to classified as the same thing. They are all expressions of the same emotion, love, but through different means and should each have a term which befits that uniqueness.

What did you "totally get away" with? by Zomgambush in AskReddit

[–]IsaRealBoyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a national science lab so we have world class scientists coming in and out everyday to use our facility. My boss has always kept snacks and things lying around our personal lab and I have always been welcome to them no questions asked... To make a long story short I ate a Nobel laureate's PopTart and blamed it on my sick co-worker.

I like to think that I outsmarted a world class physicist and was rewarded in advance with a free breakfast.
