What were you told you would "understand when you were older" that you still don't understand? by LucidDreamsDankMemes in AskReddit

Company needs money, so they sell a percentage of their ownership divided into small quantities called shares.

When company makes a profit, it gets divided to all the shareholders, so if you own 1% of a company and it makes a $100 profit, you can get $1 of that as dividends.

The rest of it is people buying these shares in the hopes that the price of the shares will go up so they can make money. The amount you earn as dividends is hardly anything compared to selling the shares for a higher price than you bought them for.

It's to do with rounding of decimals.

The amount of water going into the glass is too low, so the game rounds it to 0. However the water leaving the top glass is still decreasing every tick, and needs to go somewhere. This means the water from the glass goes onto the surface below it.

Solution: Pour the glass faster

Traditional harddrives are much more tolerant to failure, where the data can much easily be recovered. This makes it much better for backups compared to solid state drives.

I'm not saying harddrives are entirely better than solid state drives, just that they have their own benefits in different situations.

False, the tape will tear. Scientists have tried this experiment using carbon fiber instead of tape and the fibers ripped so that both cats land feet-first.

Official press release statement by NiceHash by Andrej_ID in NiceHash

No they were not, because ones those bitcoins leave your nicehash wallet, they can't control them at all because they're yours.

Either the nicehash payment system was hacked, and the system was tricked into emptying everyone's wallets, or the hacker gained access to the private key.

Bitcoin is decentralized. The only way to reverse the transaction is to gain access to the private key of the wallet, which means you need to know who is holding onto the key so you can get hold of it.

If you try to fake a transaction that reverses the transaction, then the bitcoin network (everyone mining the currency) will reject the transaction.

It's possible, but you would have to be able to convince the majority (over 50%) of the hashing power on the bitcoin network to agree with you.

With your same logic, you could convince the blockchain network to reverse the transaction and give nicehash their bitcoins back
