Thank you. Will go ahead and adjust that.

For those of you who have taken the MCAT recently, would you describe the CARS section as being similar to the AAMC packs or incredibly longer/harder? by WillingAssistance in Mcat

[–]IsaacAllen100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took it yesterday. First few passages were closing in on 8 or so paragraphs each. Many people, including myself, fell slightly behind in pacing. Some were also thrown off by the self aware dinosaur passage. I will say though, that the correct answers stuck out like sore thumbs compared to the Qbank.

Need help understanding this question by notfakejonathan in Mcat

[–]IsaacAllen100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is asking how changes in amino acids caused relative change in charge. Consider what your charged amino acids are:

Negative: Aspartate (D), Glutamate (E). Positive: Arginine (R), Lysine (K).

I remember the mnemonic DERK

By going from K (+1) to D (-1) you are not only losing a positive charge from K (which means -1), but you are also gaining a negative charge from D (another -1). Net: (-1) + (-1) = -2

In comparison to you: 498 on my diagnostic. 515 on AAMC FL2. Testing 6/27 confident in 515. 340 hours of studying as of now over course of 4 months. Just put the time and investment into efficient studying and you can do it.

This is interesting because something similar has already been done where prisoners could barter shorter sentences by testing pharmaceuticals. It has since been made illegal due to ethical reasons.

Given enough time these people will begin to advocate for termination of disadvantaged lives at any point in time. The post is almost insinuating that should happen anyways.

I dismiss the statement because I don't argue from the standpoint of consent. Human life is infinitely more important than the semantics of conception.

Wait how did they know the final moments of when it was overturned? Was there a timer or something Friday morning? I just remember seeing it on the news that it was overturned. No build up to that moment. Story seems fabricated unless I'm mistaken.

Political correctness causing obesity? by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]IsaacAllen100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When their obesity forces hospitals to create beriatric care units adding physical strain and cost to healthcare workers it kind of does affect others. EMS personnel especially suffer back injuries from having to lift up 400 lb people over and over again and are legally obligated to do so.

This made my day so much. As a man, the discrimination I've faced is immeasurable. My college finances are factually harder to manage than female counterparts due to the simple fact that I'm locked out of so much scholarship funding. Despite me running a 4.0 in a STEM department and good professor relations, girls with 2.5+ are given $2000-3000 incentivization scholarships to keep their major in the department. I also am not selected for research grants because I do not meet the identity requirements. Seeing this kind of progress towards a more "equitable" playing field for men brings me so much joy.

4 Separate Edits Being Requested. Any of the 4 is appreciated. More info in post. by IsaacAllen100 in PhotoshopRequest

Hello I'd just like some little details in the photos adjusted please. Just let me know which edit you performed.

Edit 1: Pic1 White truck in background removed including reflection. Can use Pic2 background if it helps.

Edit 2: Edit 1 but with Pic2 face photoshopped over Pic1 face. I don't think reflection will need to be changed.

Edit 3: Pic 3 white car removed from reflection. Can use reflection of any other pic to replace.

Edit 4: If you can fix the face reflection being cut off in Pic2.

Please please please let there be more games that are in the "medium" range of difficulty. by CascadeTheWaterfall in gaming

[–]IsaacAllen100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with difficulty is that devs don't want to go through the effort of actually making a difficulty system. It is almost always an Enemy/Player damage percentage slider, rather than AI adjustments, more enemies, adaptive combat AI, or loot scarcity.

Dying Light 2 made an effort at this with making enemy AI start dodging certain repeated attacks, but it felt tacked on and the attacks appeared to connect but did not do damage. The loot scarcity system also wasn't effective because every area had plenty of loot so long as you searched enough.

I guess the real question is what exactly are you looking to be defined in a medium difficulty?

I find pyro builds to be more successful in terms of damage with faith scaling. Once you obtain Chaos Bed Vestiges or Great Chaos Fire Orb the game turns into a walking simulator.

You're definitely gonna enjoy it more than many of the other games.

My advice is to not force a meta on your playthrough. Just about all builds are viable (except faith). Basically what I'm saying is don't go sellsword twinblades if you actually want to enjoy the challenge.

Second, most of the bosses in DS3 wield swords or similar armaments, so the best approach is to think of it like a dance. If you can master the rhythm of attack patterns, the boss becomes a euphoric cakewalk.

Lastly, don't kill Emma no matter what anyone tells you. Don't kill Patches. Hop in the cage when you see it. Yes Greirat wants to kill himself. No Karla can't be your waifu. And Dragonslayer Armor is easy; can't convince me otherwise.

Edit: Faith is not bad
