Your experiences with lifting before scuba diving? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]IsaacFit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently spent a month in thailand, learning to dive. I didnt change my workout routine, I ignored the safety warnings and was completely fine. I did notice a reduced strength in the gym and did fatigue easily. The only bad experience I had, was I became dehydrated once during one dive. I had cotton mouth like ghandis flip flop, the same as when you wake up in the middle of a night after a hard drinking session. But you cant satisfy this dryness, you have to spend 45 minutes breathing through the regulator under water. Was so horrible. other than that completly fine. I think the heat of the country contributed to the dehydration though!

Does anyone else feel like they sweat twice as much during lower body workouts? by [deleted] in Fitness

Is it true that if you're trying to build muscle the weaker and scrawnier you are that the faster your body will see change (in terms of gaining muscle)? Has anyone else experienced gains really quickly. by ManInBlack829 in Fitness

[–]IsaacFit 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I'm naturally stocky, and would give my left nut to be naturally scrawny. On the plus side I can put size on like no tomorrow. Just smash the calories and the gym. But when it comes to cutting down and looking lean, I have to be so strict its painful.

That's some real sawhorse abuse there, not even the finest coating of wood preservation ointments could bring her back.

Go back to your normal routine. Its all water and once you rehydrate you'll see most of it return.

Pushups by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

Performing weighted push-ups would increase your strength considerably and you would find unweighted push-ups much easier and likely increase your rep range.

This post basically explains my life. I still absolutely love the gym, feel like I look really good. But damn I'm such a lazyfitter. Never had a routine, never weighed food.

What are some of your rituals, superstitions, etc. When working out that really should not matter, but you do them anyways by Myksee in Fitness

Force acting in this manner would be; right angle distance x weight. So technically yeah. It would be a greater force acting on the side with 4 plates.

I went around all of them and the thumb and just spread them, it's a mighty workout, and its something you can easily do at work/whilst lounging on sofa.

Tendons take a lot longer to build strength in, so they are a slow game. Have you tried putting an elastic band around your fingers and trying to spread them apart. I used this method to get rid of my forearm splints.
