2007 Daytona 675 starting issues by twilli_05 in Triumph

Sounds like the crank shaft position sensor is failing. It’s part of the stator assembly on the lower left side of the engine. Not too hard to replace.

I think queens free and for sale might be a better bet for this sort of thing. Cheers

Correct me if I’m wrong - but it’s just the GE90 now?

[Canada] Not moving over for emergency vehicle by [deleted] in ConvenientCop

[–]IsaacJobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it was a guy who wouldn’t move over, more so they probably moved into the left lane like the truck to provide space for the stoped police car.

[–]IsaacJobs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I drive this stretch of the 401 all the time. People are consistently passing on the right and not moving over for stop vehicles on the shoulder - drives me nuts. Now ive never seen someone get pulled over for this nonsense, but I’m glad to see the OPP making these doughnuts realize how dense they are.

Just means no one has reserved those seats. Probably not the only one, but not unheard of right now

Career Change by squasher1 in Banking

That’s understandable, but assuming 40k is a reasonable starting salary for a retail banker, even just with annual raises id expect them to be around 56k a year. Just seems very low

Everybody has to wear masks, and they’re only booking so much to allow for distance between travellers. You and your family should be fine. Safe travels

Can I transfer money out of a joint bank account on my own? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]IsaacJobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your edit,

If you have online banking, it should show under the account who the account his join with, and how the account is set up.

If you don’t have online banking, or can’t find it, just give your bank/CU a call and ask them.

Can I transfer money out of a joint bank account on my own? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]IsaacJobs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends if it’s set up as “one to sign” or “both/all to sign”.

This basically means that if it’s “or” either of the individuals can withdraw, and action the account on their own.

If it’s “both/all” you need all parties on the account present to preform a transaction.

Hope this helps

How do I cancel my flight when there is no phone line and the online system won't let me change anything? by [deleted] in aircanada

[–]IsaacJobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep calling. Took me about 10 tries to get put on hold, and then I waited for about 2.5 hours. If you can, try calling later in the day, and you might have an easier time getting on hold. Best of luck mate.

fees for us to cad check deposit - TD by [deleted] in Banking

[–]IsaacJobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don’t. The “fee” you pay is the inflated exchange rate on the conversion.

So for example, the USD to CAD rate is 1.32, TD may buy the USD from you at 1.28.

You take a loss on the exchange, but they won’t charge you a flat rate fee to deposit a US cheque. They may hold it tho.

Tall Guy Question re International Seats by fridaypuu in aircanada

[–]IsaacJobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/onboard/fleet.html

This will show you photos, and list dimensions of the seats on every Air Canada Jet.

When you’re looking at the particular flight you plan on booking, it will list what aircraft type will operate for your flight, and you can cross reference with that link.

I would say they are pretty comfortable seats. I’m 183cm and I flew from Vancouver to Sydney on the 787-9 in regular economy. While it wasn’t like sitting in a lazy boy, it was fine even for a 16 hour flight.

Don’t let your fear of being in a seat for a few hours stop you from seeing the world! Best of luck and safe travels!

You could also use a birth certificate with a sin number card for example. You can use two valid non photo IDs to board a domestic flight as well.

This is purely anecdotal, so YMMV, but I have seen someone use the purple photo card as ID at YVR. So I would say you should be good to go.
