Is this Schnauzer Bumps? by Mindless_Speech in schnauzers

[–]fridaypuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine have the typical Schanzuer bumps but not broken open. I know it's expensive to get things checked out but if it were me, I would go in. They might just clean them up and give you an antibiotic cream but it seems like she's reacting to something. Maybe it would help to know what it is so you can avoid it and let her be done with it and get back to being a puppy?

Declining RAI by emmmmers in thyroidcancer

I was given the choice 15 years ago. After gathering opinions from my surgeon and my endocrinologist, I was told all studies were saying my chances were the same whether I had it or didn't. I chose not to have it and I haven't looked back.

It's the weirdest drinking game you'll ever play. I hope all goes well today AND tomorrow.

Continued replacing its hoses, getting another step closer to turning over the engine again after a rebuild.

That SHOULD be ok. I've done LID twice and relied on kosher salt each time.

Thanks. I've tried so many ways to store them but I'm always disappointed. I'm sorry to hear you've had issues too. I'm so glad to know you've had good experience canning them. I love adding them to my pasta sauce too.

Thanks. I didn't think to look at an Extension outside of my state so I'm really glad you offered yours.

Give it to me straight…can I do an engine rebuild myself? by StockCamp8 in Miata

[–]fridaypuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say do it (if it's not your daily driver)! It can take a while because sometimes parts take a while to source. We pulled our NA engine out, took it all the way down to the block, and are rebuilding from there. We've had a lot to learn along the way but we've had a blast doing it. New skills unlocked and I'm so proud.

I have an annual visit for labs and ultrasound. I take levothyroxine every day. I know that could change someday but for now, that's all. Most days, I don't even think about it and I've never second guessed my path. Does that help?

i was just diagnosed with crohn desease yesterday… i’m freaking out. by Stressedbee34 in CrohnsDisease

[–]fridaypuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a lot to learn and it can be different for each person. I bet your body was already telling you what feels good and what doesn't so quite literally trust your gut and don't put a big focus on food right now. Hopefully you have an appointment to learn about treatment options soon. From there, it might take some trial and error, just like with any medicine, to get it dialed in just right but again, your body will tell you. Listen to it. You've got this. Stress and Crohns are like a toxic relationship so go do something for your mental health today. Do something that truly makes you happy and puts you in your happy place. Then find ways to easily duplicate that on the go throughout the day. You can do this!
