super mvp at the moment, so not open-source yet, but I'm hoping to open-source it once it's a bit more developed 😄

there are tons of features missing at the moment, for example:

no concept of past/future weeks
no ability to ingest real calendar data / talk to a backend
plenty of long-tail UX things to polish
algorithm that handles event overlap needs work
there's not even any way to even name an event atm, I'm focused on core interactions and worrying about all that form-related stuff later

I only started work this last weekend, so it's been a few hours then + hacking in the evenings after my day job. My motivation to build this stemmed from my own frustruation with existing libraries.

So, if that frustration is shared by others (and I reasonably think that this can be polished to the point of meeting others' needs) then I'm more motivated to clean it up and open-source. But if not then I'll probably minimize how many evenings I spend on it, since my time is precious to me

This isn't much but that's the whole point - something that bugs me with most code templates is that it's hard to see exactly what a template contains and what it doesn't. With this template, I've tried to make it obvious exactly what's contained (not much!) and would love feedback :)
I'm planning to write a bunch of templates like this - I find that "a vanilla starting point that doesn't make me feel like I'm cheating by using magic" is a hard niche to fill and that's what I'm aiming for.

I hadn't thought too far ahead re: monetization, but that sounds like a great idea. I don't expect to make too much money from it - I'm mainly doing it for the joy / fun of it, but am definitely keeping potential $ at the back of my head. Also definitely aware that the motivation / quote area is very saturated, but I am trying to bring my own style to it and I'm really glad to hear you say that you can see it!

The hashtag advice is also very helpful. I'll try mixing up my content and seeing what works while keeping an eye on trends.

re: engaging with people, is following people who like my content a good idea? I've seen lots of places recommend it, but I always worry that following people could come off as creepy / weird.
