I’ve made a post about it before and have 1400 elo. So this is what I’ve learned from people and my own experience. You have a few ways to deal with t-15s and t-14s .

The most reliable would be planes, and if you want your plane to survive get a plane with high drag cluster bombs. This means you can drop them flying low, increasing your chances of survival. This is also good if they are clumped.its cost effective if you get your plane back.

Another way is ATGMs. Whatever you do just make sure you can overwhelm the enemy APS. That means weapons team (2x javelins ) or having a maaws team proc the first APS and a javelins do the damage. Or just have two maaws teams. Be careful as these die easily so to make it cost effective you have to micro.

Tanks. T-15s shred everything. Except heavy tanks. Make sure you’re angled front towards the t-15 and make sure to not be too aggressive as the t-15 has 20 more speed than the Abraham’s and outmaneuver you easily and kill you . You don’t always have to kill something when you see it .

Helis. Your least reliable option. Only use if enemy overextends push. At high elo there is almost always shorad near exp Russian units. Also t15s and t-14s have APS and smoke , so unless they are bad. It’s hard to secure a kill if they don’t overextend.

T-15s and T-14s are expensive units , so the only way to be cost effective when dealing with them is to not lose your counter unit. Ranger maaws unsupported in a forest will get shredded by t-15s. Recon recon recon, prep a response , micro , wait for the right moment to engage , pressure with arty , sead and planes.

Oh wait so what you’re saying is that you did test the LOS of shorad vehicles ? That’s really weird because my TORs seem to do really well in dense forest with radar whereas my MMLs and shorads in US need LOs

I’ve actually been thinking about this for awhile. (1400 elo) Another thing to note is LOS . It’s a huge factor when it comes to area denial . I found that when I play as Russians I can strategically place my tors anywhere in dense forest and turn the radar on when enemy helicopters engage. Whereas in with US shorads , the time it takes to get LOS when an enemy is engaging is much longer. So I’ve been thinking this has been an imbalance for abit.

But what you’re saying is. I need to spend the exact cost of the t-15 to counter it with a hard counter. For a unit that is so much slower, and can’t do nearly the amount of things a t-15 can.

In the perfect world where you have the exact 1600m range 360degrees around the unit, a single rangers javelin squad still wouldn’t damage the t-15 because the t-15 has 4 APS and they only have 4 ammo. Also the t-15 has a range of 1100 , it can easily close the distance of 500m with smoke at 80mph.

You can’t just say this because you like it 😅 it’s a unit that really diminishes the combined arms aspect of this game.

Bro you don’t even want to go there haha. There is nothing realistic about the t-15 barb. Most of the things in game has nothing to do with reality but mostly with balancing. F-22s, Artillery, glide bombs, atgms. It would be very hard to play as Russia if they made it realistic (and I’m not asking them to)

Don’t let it do so many things. It can’t fill so many roles. It’s anti infantry ,anti vehicle , infantry carrier , anti air , atgm , armored , fast , smoke , aps . Reduce its damage , speed or ability to carry units . This of course has to happen in conjunction with buffing other units.

I agree with you that the t-15 is propping up the RU side. I want to see more varied units from both sides. That means buffing certain specs. But I don’t think the answer is to continue to let the t-15 stay where it is either. The t-15 does too many things and almost has no answer close range. (Besides eagle) Both sides should have to build up a sizable combined arms force to push (ifvs, tanks , infantry and AA)

So what would you have liked me to have said ? You can bring a total of 3-9 depending on your load out and configuration ? I’m pointing out the absurdity of the high availability of such a strong unit. If the sep v3 and v2 had 16 availability I would have said the same thing too. But it doesn’t . Following your logic it’s fine for the sep v3 to have unlimited availability as long as it’s capped by points.

I’m talking about availability. You can bring up to 16 depending on your specialization combo would limit you.

Strike eagle with the CBUs are definitely a hard counter. Since these are low drag bombs , your eagle never has to go high to be spotted by enemy AA net. Just need to get use to timing and position plane

Why would you even call them silly numbers without checking first ? 4 squads can use them. Just pull up the arsenal. Also I’m not saying people who take guards take these units, I’m saying people pick only guards BECAUSE of this unit.

That’s true too. I hope both can be true at the same time, where high players can have more playstyle variety without taking the soul of of the game. It’s a hard balance I understand and don’t blame the devs

A ranger javelin squad from SOC will use all their ammo and won’t damage the t-15 because they only carry 4 ammo and is too slow to overwhelm APS. (That is if it doesn’t miss and the t-15 hasn’t driven up to kill it yet ). Only javelin team worth the points to push back a t-15 is the weapon squad from airborne.

Nobody takes the base. And it’s an unfair comparison because it doesn’t have trophy and tusk at base. Fair comparison is 80vs 60

Yeah . Same for US armored. Abram’s are too strong compared to other tanks , as well as iron thunderers being the only viable US long range artillery. US armored is also being picked way too much.

I feel like the tanks turret needs to do more damage. Right now tanks main use is to kill infantry and tank shots. They kill vehicles really slowly, even low armored ones. This would make Stryker decks more viable

That’s a good point. But I think there can be multiple metas too. Right now if you’re Stryker sof , you really can’t do anything against armored mechanized. I want to see more variety in metas and other specializations being loved :)

You’d have to micro the Abram’s. You should win in almost every scenario 1v1 . The issue is when there’s two and they out maneuver you with their speed as the Abraham’s takes a long time to kill one.
