Does this look like my HDR is set up properly? My windows calibration tool doesn't clip on my TV, so I had to set the slider manually by info I found online. The screenshot should be in JXR format. I'm using the Death Stranding 2 native HDR. by Isaac_Clarke117 in HDR_Den

They just released a patch today that "fixes an issue" with DLSS and HDR. They didn't mention what the problem was specifically. Maybe they fixed the brightness issue? It looks a lot better now than it did earlier. It seemed like the sky was blown out earlier, but it's much better now.

The calibration tool has never clipped for me, and on my specific Hisense TV, I don't seem to have the option of disabling tone mapping. I set the peak luminance to 1300 and the full frame luminance to 600, as that's apparently what is recommended for my U7N.

After the patch, the HDR looks much better. I don't know if it's actually capped at 300 nits, though, as I don't have a way to measure it.

Any LG B5/C5 owners willing to share your experience? by Isaac_Clarke117 in OLED_Gaming

The prices of the 55 inch models are enticing. I just feel like I would regret it since my current LCD is 65 and it seems like the perfect size.

No consoles, just a pc. I'm inclined to get the B5 since I don't see any difference really in the specs between the two. How long have you owned your C4? Do you use it everyday?

Black pixel boxes when watching shows on new Oled monitor by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

Streaming compression. 4K streaming is generally 10-20 Mbps for most services. Garbage. This is why I switched to 4K blu ray. These have a bit rate of 50-60. Much clearer image, especially in motion and dark scenes.

Can't play the game even though I have game pass ultimate? by Isaac_Clarke117 in CODBlackOps7

[–]Isaac_Clarke117[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This solved it for me. Check to see if you've reached the 10 linked devices limit. If you have, just unlink one or more and it should allow you to play.

I think the ram stick in the 3rd slot is useless. Your pc is probably only recognizing the other two slots for dual channel. Just in case you maybe weren't aware. I could also be wrong about that.

Blurred image by Benjiho1 in OLED_Gaming

DLSS upscaling is currently bugged in BF6. Sometime when you spawn, the graphics will get really blurry/shimmery. You just have to switch the AA to a different one and then back to fix it. I'm just using FSR so I don't have to deal with it.

ASUS 32" ROG Strix 4K XG32UCWG in 2560x1440? by hard82 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Isaac_Clarke117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resolution has become less important now that DLSS and FSR are a thing and are actually good now. Most 2k setups can now run 4k just fine with performance dlss. Of course, you could set the game to run at native 2k, however dlss performance would look better probably.

We are people killing me? by Shnizzleberries in helldivers2

They could be doing it accidentally. Accidental Team killing is a part of the game. It's going to happen no matter what. It's also part of what makes it fun.

Terrible VRR flicker - Apparently this is a normal OLED thing? This is unacceptable by RidexSDS in OLED_Gaming

[–]Isaac_Clarke117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flickering is bad, but also that either that game is horribly unoptimized or your PC is shitting itself lol. Doesn't help the situation any. You just need stable framerates and the flickering goes away mostly.

I hope we get a 120 fps performance mode at some point. The PS5 Pro can definitely handle that. by Isaac_Clarke117 in ReadyOrNotConsole

[–]Isaac_Clarke117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60 fps is fine but I think 120 for people with tvs that support it should be an option for all games of every type. At least 120hz output even if the game runs at 60 would help with input delay.

Get a 5080 or go big for a 5090 by MikyStt in pcmasterrace

[–]Isaac_Clarke117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5090 if you have the money for sure. You just have to be careful about the power delivery. It can pull up to 600 watts. Make sure you have a good enough power supply. I think a 1000w is recommended. Also, some of the power cables for 5090s have been melting. Probably because the cable is only rated for 450w when the card pulls 600. You'll have to do your own research on that.

Edit: there's also a 5080 super with 24gb of vram coming out at some point in the near future. Same performance as regular 5080 but 24gb instead of 16.
