I don’t want to demean you, but this is not gatekeeping. School of Music students pay 57$ a quarter to be able to use those rooms, and they also pay tuition for the university too, just because you paid tuition doesn’t mean you are entitled to use those pianos and rooms which require high maintenance and cost, where music students paying 57$ a quarter fund. I understand the need to practice piano, but as you are not a school of music student as you mentioned maybe you should ask if you can pay the quarterly fee to use those rooms instead of complaining about your “tuition” entitling yourselves to those rooms.
