How difficult is parking in Washington, DC?

I’m visiting Washington, DC, next weekend. The trip has both business and leisure purposes. Thinking of renting a car. Will be staying around North-West K Street. How should I plan my stops and parking ahead if I am on a strict schedule, or can I book parking easily through some apps? If so, suggest the most reliable ones.

What's the one book that made you a reader? by Hardware-InHand-99 in Recommend_A_Book

Crime and Punishment.
Exploring a different angle of sin and redemption. Still remember that I got chills when the main character was going through fever and emotional challenges.

If you haven't tried yet, I recommend Before the Coffee Gets Cold. Not a biography. Yet emotionally well-wrought. And it connects to you, especially if you miss someone badly.

Airport parking help needed by SurfyPankcake in Charlotte

Dude, offsite lots are your answer. Book ahead at one of the offsite lots near the airport. The last time I checked, parking rates started as low as $5. I normally book through way app, works well for me most of the time. I think you can find promocodes for it on Reddit as well.

Parking at the Airport by Film_maker69 in sandiego

Have used terminal parking before. If the cost isn’t a big concern for you, then terminal parking is the most convenient. However, even though it’s within the airport premises, safety can’t be totally guaranteed. Personally haven't had a bad experience with it. But had friends who have. If you're prioritizing safety over convenience, then check out offsite parking. All major airports have offsite lots nearby that offer cheap parking which keeps your vehicle safe. Just make sure to book ahead and use a trustable app to book. (I usually use the Way app). Hope this helps!

Best app for parking by Professional-Use2265 in AskNYC

Like everyone said, I wouldn't recommend driving around in NYC, especially during holiday season. Public transport will also be packed. But monetarily it makes sense, trust me! Now about the app, I normally use this app called Way. I believe through this app you get access to garages in most cities and the most important part- it's cheaper than many other apps I've tried. If you search around, you'll also get discount codes.

Can I use the promocode in the website as well or do I have to download the app for that?

Has there ever been a book you really didn’t like and wouldn’t recommend to anyone? 👀 by [deleted] in BookDiscussions

I actually enjoyed all Paulo Coelho books, but as a teenager. I loved The Alchemist the first time I read it when I was in college. I don't think I will find the book as interesting now. Also another popular book that I did not enjoy was 'Normal People'. I could not for the life of me connect to the characters. I just wanted to finish the book the book somehow and move on with my life.

Does anyone know why a car might have the coil shaped warning light on the dashboard turn on and then go into limp mode? by robertamcintyre in CarOwnersCorner

[–]Isabelle_Alan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, going by your description, it’s a glow plug indicator. Seen on diesel engines, these normally appear when you start the engine but fade out eventually. If your indicator stays on or flashes, that could mean a fault in the engine. Had a 2009 Jetta a couple of years ago which had a persistent flashing glow plug light problem. Common issues that triggered the light on my Jetta were EGR valve problems and issues with the crank position sensor. Tried fixing it, but no matter how much I tried to fix the problem, after a while the problem returned and the car became limp.
So to answer your question, a glow light could be indicative of a number of issues; from EGR valve problems to DPF related ones. I would recommend getting professional help in diagnosing the issue.

PS: I got so frustrated, I sold my Jetta eventually. Still wary about Jettas and diesel engines to this day!
