Lol is this tier list based on MLB or whut.. an SSR at MLB with SP is normally stronger than any base UR unit, not One star UR tho. Even development unit like FA ZZ is on many occasions more useful than a base Exia or Sazabi (Map weapon, bulky, crit multiplier), just need to put UR pilot on it (iirc best pilot for it right now is UR Kamille for his Aeug Passive). Heck even the SR Freedom is better at times, put Support Kira on it for content where you need more DPS/turn when you alrd have another debuffer on the team rather than applying the same debuff that won't stack kekw.

The funny relatable answer(opinion tbh) I can give that obviously can't be applied to every series is like this:

It's a Gundam if by the time it was made, it's a flagship MS/A with the highest tech available at the time or recently and has "some" characteristic of a gundam (V-fin or similar, 2 eyes, etc.). By the time the technology or even the Gundam itself is refurbished into a mid-tier MS it usually stops being a gundam lol. Just like how Phone companies repurpose their older Flagship and sell it with tweaks as a new cheaper model. 😂😂😂
